jross427 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
6 hours of Infineon

ok, i was in drivers teaching class drying to get my permit, so then i can LEGALY have fun in parking lots with my dads friend SVT cobra mustang, but the video we watches started Lyn St. James at Infineon, racing some kind of Ford race car, what was it? what was the race called? and could ALMS make there visit instead of a 2 hour and 45 minute race into the 6 hour race?

ALMS are not going to go back to Infineon next year. (90% certain)

That's a damn shame. I recall very fondly McNish's performance there in 2000 when he was just so much faster than anyone else it was like he was in a different race.

well, with only 12,000 people at the ALMS event this year at Infineon,, it doesnt cut it. thats one of the main reasons; the poor audiences in the past few years.

Not to drag this down into a well-hashed debate, but there are many convincing arguments in favour of fewer long races a la the LMES. Longer events attract more vehicles partly because there is more space for gentleman drivers and with a longer distance there is more opportunity for those cars to rise to the front due to attrition. Since there's a clear paucity of big-name sponsorship evident in the ALMS the gentleman driver is important if higher car counts are sought.

The logical racetracks to drop are those that don't provoke a lot of fan interest. Compared to some sprints (eg. Mosport), the attendance figure mentioned by 19dodge for Infineon is pathetic.
