floid2000 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Tony Stewart

Tony Stewart is the first driver to run the 500 and the 600 who,I believe, has a legitimate shot at winning both races. As an all around racefan I think that would be cool.

O.K. Crash Test, sorry to be picking on you, I know that you meant that John Andretti ran those two races and not won them.

Actually John Andretti was the first to run the two races on the same day in 1994 He was 10th at Indy and crashed out at Charlotte. Robby Gordon attempted this feat twice. In 1997, Indy was rained out unitl Tuesday, and in 2000 more rain forced Gordon to be an hour and 45 minutes late for the Coca Cola 600, someone else ( can't remember who) started his car at Charlotte. Tony Stewart pulled off the double in 1999 finishing 9th at Indy and 4th at Charlotte.

But Stewart definitely has a shot at winning both this year, with top teams in both races. If he were to win them both, it would be a feat unmatched in motorsport. Sure, there were guys in the 60's who would win a Champ Car race during the day and a Sprint Car feature the same night (Mario for instance) but never have two high profile races been won on the same day.
