Great weekend of Historic racing.

I'm old enough to remember when the F5000's & Group C/A's raced in their respective heydays and it was great to see these cars being punted around the way their makers intended them to be driven.

There was the usual mechanical failures but most of the drivers behaved with minimul panel or collision damage just good old fashioned fast driving.

The biggest incident would've been the Daniel Tamasi DNF in the Sunday afternoon Sports Sedan race when his Calibra caught fire coming down the hill and pulled up next to the flag point at the GMC Bridge. I believe a problem with the exhaust caused the rear bodywork to heat up and.......

Well done to the trackside flaggies & others who got stuck into the fire before the fire vehicle arrived as it certainly kept the damage to a minimum
