Excellent news for Labre. Also excellent news for Prodrive and Ferrari, the 550 has now won 4 consecutive FIA GT championships.

No, no he isnt. The FIA GT website are showing BMS as the champions of 2002,2003,2004 and Labre in 2005. http://www.fiagt.com/pointssummary.p...=team&event=11 That makes 4. If you read my original post correctly you would have seen I was reffering to the teams and manufacturers championship, not the drivers championship.

Great News. Scheider didn´t impressed in the A1GP but in an interview in last weeks "Motorsport aktuell" he said that the FIA-GT is not a real series and that the DTM and F1 the series he want to be.

Normal for a driver in his age, but i´m a GT fan and so i´m happy that Larbre gets the title...

Actually my mistake, I was getting confused. I confused the LMES with FIA GT. My bad. But then, Labre didnt win the LMES either, did they?

I read somewhere that Larbre would argue that the fuel tank was drained after the FIA inspectors checked the airbox; during the airbox test some of the fuel used and thus the fuel level went became less than 3 liter.

I guess FIA appeal believed this explanation...

I suggest Scheider should "go away". FIA GT can do very well without him.

Exactly. I hate to break it to Mr. Scheider, but his appearance did very little to raise the series in my eyes, and I won't really miss him when he's gone.

I'm also thrilled that Gardel is champion. He did a very steady job (though I wish Pedro could share it!) and he deserves it. Mostly, though, I'm happy for CARE and Prodrive, who are responsible for one of the most beautiful and capable GTs ever.

Pedro at least won the Driver Performance of the Year Award, truly deserved in my opinion.
