Come on MG
I have just been listening to first quilfying on radio Le Mans, and one of the MG was 12th Quickest, lets hope they keep up this speed for the rest of the weekend, COME ON MG ! ! !

Yes.... the MG Marque really is stamping its name on this event isnt it?
I read on Totalmotorsport that Reid said that his quickest lap was hampered by traffic, and that there is more to come from the car!! |

I think the best result for MG was 1965 when they finished first (?) in class and twelfth overall with an MGB driven by Hopkirk and Hedges.
Their average speed was 99.90 mph which the PR dept considered better publicity than 100 mph. I stand to be corrected but I think the Registration number of the car was 7 DBL. And there is some fairly interesting history to it but I don't have space to repeat it here. Any more news on the progress? ![]() |
