Good find there Mark.

It is worth reminding every now and again that we might have a moan & whinge about some things but show someone any of those videos and say "this is what I do at a weekend" and I'd hope they'd be impressed (or get us put away, one or the other)

Mark, A good find indeed! i also note for you Rescue Bod's(and any other interested parties) there is a Guide to the HANS device in pdf format.

http://www.fiainstitute.com/documents/HANS_Guide.pdf

There are no specific 'Extrication' notes but understanding the mechanics of such kit is always useful.

Which bit were you in Markypoos? I never saw you. Perhaps I blinked during your starring moment?

Hi Babe. Things a bit in limbo at the moment as Dad lost his job and car, so no transport . Things going to be sorted one way or another soon.

I'm not sure who wrote or checked the script on the marshalling video?
It said, "experienced marshals will count to 5 before acting".
Every training day I've been to and most Observer briefings have told me to count to 10. Which is correct?
Or does being an 'experienced marshal' make you more kamikhaze?!

Very true. I'd retired before the Midland Hills Crew required 'Equity' cards.

Having always been Camera shy, I have instructed my Agent to ensure that my contract has a clause in it that I never appear without a nomex balaclava 'on Camera', unless it's for a sizeable fee!

Woolley beware, you'll be flooded with applications for your next amateur production.

LOL. Following an occasion where they were scrambled but not told where to, 'Paint Your Wagon' springs to mind:

'Where am I goin'?
I don't know.
Where am I headin'?
I ain't certain,
All I know is I am on my way...'

Auditions will be held at the training day. Please bring nomex leg warmers.

I have just had the chance to watch this video, and beleive it or not I think I star twice!! Once doing my famous impression of mitchelin man in the car then as doctor in another scene. Though not bieng used to seeing myself from the rear ( not a pretty sight) I am not totally sure of that. I await sarcastic comments with interest.

Is this because of being "Camera Shy" or is there another reason for you always wearing a balaclava at Training Days??

ooops, silly me, nearly forgot.....
you didn't always wear one, did you Jim?

On legal advice, i'd just like to say 'No Comment'!

By the way, can you smell burning? Has someone left a car alight! Was it a retained crew or did the local full timers have to attend that one?
Questions, Questions
