Do you have confirmation that a suitable budgeted driver to partner Hezemans in the C6.R hasn't been found, Bramzel? I'm just curious since it isn't that long since the news that they were trying to run both cars broke.

BMS have already anounced I thought that there drivers will be Fabio Babini, Christian Pescatori en Matteo Malucelli. They will probably be joined by Jamie Davies. Check this article:

http://www.racingworld.be/nieuws/3029

Other drivers are named in that article to: Bouchut-Garcia and Fomenko-Vasiliev will be driving for Russian Age.

Don't know if it's true, but it are interesting rumours.

At this point none has been found, they've had contact with a lot of drivers, but none of them had the sufficient amount of fundings. So at the moment the plan is to run the C6 with the three of them.

According to the autoklub.pl, street circuit in Bucharest might not be ready in time. Season might start in May at Silverstone, and round in Bucharest will be moved for autumn.

Article also says, that circuit must be elongated on FIA's demand (up to 3.5 km). And there's something about possibility of F1 GP in Romania - Bucharest's mayor already talked with Ecclestone.

This was known already and is 99% sure.

DSC is reporting that GPC is planning to replace it's 575's by Care Racing 550's, and that not Moccia/Busnelli but Collard/Ricitelli will most likely pilot the Ebimotors 996 RSR.

On the GPC thing; GPC boss Coppi was quoted saying "that investing in a Maserati didn't make sense". However, to me investing in a 550 at this point doesn't make sense either.

I've heard it from a friend who's heard it from a team that heard it from the organisation. 99% is maybe a wrong way of saying it, his direct quote was "as good as certain".

Well, he did say specificly that it was not cancelled. It's delayed, will probably be the season final round now.

i don't know if that's possible . the season ends in Dubai November 25th ..
it could be rescheduled between Spa and Magny Cours or maybe after Brno . a quck "trip" south .. but that is LeMans time terittory .. or between Zhuhai and Bahrein .

CARE 550s can doubtless still be leased whereas I suspect all Maseratis would have to be purchased unless they could lease a chassis from another team...and who has 1 to spare? JMB maybe...but that's about it.

Autosport report that Maserati will replace the MC12 with a front engined GT1 for 2007/8.

Works cars for Le Mans, customer cars for FIA GT.

About Maserati, I dont understand why they cannot make a MC12LM I dont think ACO needs other 25 non-racing cars to omologated for LM instead of a new project :-(

Interesting to note that it will be using Dunlop tyres and not Michelin.

About Bucharest, if it is moved to autumn then I hope it won't affect the Zhuhai race.

I thought the SRO would have a backup plan for if the Romanian race could not go ahead...

Ouch, that's one ugly livery imho. But it'll be interesting to see how it'll do on Dunlops.

Personally I dont think its too bad, there are a lot worse out there. That said it isnt one of my favourites either. Still, good to have RS line in the FIA GT championship.
