Tony Lanfranchi
So sad to read today of the passing of Tony. I was never lucky enough to meet him but he was an insperation in my early days of watching at Brands. deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

How sad. Watching him race was a highlight of so many years of my involvement.
RIP Jim |

My youth was spent at Brands too, Mr Lanfranchi was a hero and a star to me. A real racer and awesome when he was fired up.
Strange,to think about how long ago that was (30 odd years),and how much of an impression he made on me as a kid. He will be missed, |

Watched Tony, Gerry and Nick doing many a battle from the south bank. Had the fortune to meet the great man in his teaching capacity. Sadly missed

Most memorable!
In his heyday, his name was always on everybody's lips at every motor sport event, he would be mentioned in every edition of every motor sports publication. He was Mr Motor Sport GB!
We will never see his like again! Where have all the real characters gone? RIP Ranoff |

Big influence on me too.
Not only from watching him at Brands where he raced just about everything, but by meeting him at the Brands Hatch Racing Stables. He was my instructor there at a time when (I think) Sid Fox was chief instructor. Great man, with time for everyone. Great driver, instructor, motivator, personality and with character to throw away. I imagine that he has arrived upstairs and already blagged a drive, drink and cigarette, probably in that order. John |

I had the pleasure of working for him at Brands a really nice guy. Still remember the ******ing he gave me when I nearly binned a Fiesta he was nearly smoking 2 fags at the same time!
Sad loss of a true character |
