Historic mechanic's overalls
Although there is quite a good choice of driver's suits in the classic style (some of them even FIA approved), I still couldn't find a historical correct mechanic's outfit. I mean something like what we see on historic photos from the pits and paddocks of the sixties - some of the mechanics even wore suit and tie underneath it.
I assume that overalls like this must be available somewhere in England. Any hints would be much appreciated. Thanks and regards, Robert |

Goodwood overalls
Thanks for the hint - I had a look at the Goodwood website, but their overalls look ‘too white‘ for me. They must get dirty pretty fast.

Historic Mechanics' overalls
How about North American crew's attire from the 50's & 60's. Normally dirty jeans and a white?? tee shirt?

I don't know if these are appropriate to the UK and your needs, but I have some "WWII aircraft mechanics coveralls" reproduced in blue (also khaki) and available here......I, too, would love to find someone who recreates the "Lotus Green" coveralls of yore!

OK, OK, if we can agree a spec/colour scheme I can get a batch made to save Mrs Z's fingers.
Anyone interested, PM me and we'll see what we can do. Reckon I can get a batch made overseas well cheap. Max |
