When Sony down here get their act together!!! They took it off Chevron - ( via a blank chq by Sony to V8SA) who had it for ages and usually had it out in no time after the finish of the season. Sony have only just released the Bathurst highlights before Xmas - god only knows when they will get the 2006 season out. So PDS keep googling .....................

Available Here but as suggested, is still flagged as a "future release"

I get annoyed at not being able to buy the current season's model cars in the same year too.. some '06 versions still arent available yet...

Sweet I'll have to order it soon. Glad to see it's nearly 6 hrs long.

Anyone know why chevron didn't release the 1991, 1992 and 1995 seasons on DVD? That never really made sense.

Not sure if a 1995 review was ever made. But 1991 and 1992 were available from Sports Scene or Duke in the UK.

1986 and 1987 were also available once upon a time, but no longer.

But, they are available! From 1990. All on DVD. From Chevron!

The early DVD features 1990-1993 then 1994-1996. 1997 onwards are one DVD each!

The 1990-1993 DVD & the 1994-1996 DVD is abit misleading, the first one only contains the 1990 & 1993 ATCC reviews, the second only contains the 1994 & 1996 ATCC reviews. They have just packaged them together on the one DVD (they were originally sold seperatly on VHS through Chevron/Channel 7).

As mentioned the 1991 and 1992 ATCC reviews are still available through Duke video. A 1995 season review was never made.

The 1986 & 1987 reviews are well put together, done by Atlab in association with Channel 7.

Well that explains it. Wonder if there is enough footage around 1995 that chevron could throw it together?

Star - just hit the Chevron site there should be a email contact address - attention it to John Kiddle he's the strategic/biz affairs guy and should be able to help you.

Channel 7 showed all the rounds from 1995, so it is out there, but what would be the point (to the marketers) in producing a season review from 12 years ago?

Well they put almost every other season out there might as well put 1995 out there as well. If the footage exists it can't be too hard to edit it. The chevron season review dvds are pretty low budget as is(they don't even the review divided into chapters for access to whatever race you want to see).

The DVD reviews released were just taken straight from the original VHS season reviews (which were produced and released at the end of the relevant year they reviewed) and stuck onto a DVD. They are not new productions, the 1990 review on the DVD is the exact same season review i've had on VHS since early-1991.

Chevron did the same when putting the yearly Bathurst review video's onto DVD, they just grouped them in 3 year blocks on each DVD (2 years on each DVD from 1991/92 DVD onwards)

Any 1995 review would have to be freshly edited and produced, i can't see them doing that (would 7 allow them to anyway). Maybe in 20 years there would be a demand for it (like there is for the old ABC and C7 footage from the 60s & 70s at the moment)

I would imagine so. I wonder how well the classic australian touring car vol. #1 dvd sold and if there will be more in that series.

In any case I'm glad chevron released what they did have and I've enjoyed all the footage.

Classic Australian Touring Car Races Vol.2 is advertised in the latest "Australian Muscle Car" magazine and will be released in April.

Featured on it are 'behind the scenes' documentary-type stories shown on the ABC show 'Four Corners' back in the early 70s, along with some more Series Production racing from Warwick Farm.
