Does anyone know what happened to the coverage of the Sunday morning warm-up which ITV promised us?
I tried contacting itv-f1.com but since the updated the site, none of the email addresses work. |

You must have been mistaken, itv never promised LIVE Warm up. All's they said was that they would show anything that happened in warm up, ie in a 20 second highlights program before the race. If anyone has got satellite you can watch it on RTL the German channel, at 8:15am-9:15am on sunday morning.

You could be right. I just remember them saying something about showing sunday warm-up.
I will dig the tape out to see exactly what was said. |

The comment made by Jim Rosenthal was as follows:
"Our new agreement includes coverage of sunday warm-up" I interpreted this at the time to mean that they were going to show the warm-up. I guess it could just mean that Bernie will let them have the tape if they want it. Quite why they have decided not to show it is a mystery to me. |

Because the time they could use showing warm-up is now spent buffooning on about Button and the Jaguars.

Oh yeah, and talking to Olivier Panis (who uses the phrase 'but, seriously' far too much), and talking about Euro2k too.
Have a look at the pre-race coverage and count how many times Olivier says 'seriously' - quite ridiculous ![]() |

Personally I preferred James Allen's calmer approach.
I know that Murray is a motorsport icon but his screaming and repetitive style ("lap 41, lap42,lap43,lap44,lap45,etc" grates on me for two hours. I thought that JA and MB were a well informed double act that enhanced the race. James Allen's strategy knowledge coupled with Martin's drivers eye viewpoint made for a good commentary. I am sure nobody would admit it, but I bet the powers that be at ITV thought the same. You know what they say Murray, never let somebody step into your shoes, they might be a better fit......... |

James and Martin were good but watching the race without Murray's high - pitched squeal was very odd.
GO GO GO !!!! |
