The Nullabor Plain...

Fellow ten-tenthers...

I am going on a 4/5 week bike tour monday (apr 21). my venture starts in country victoria and heads towards mildura, port augusta & ceduna in south australia before crossing the nullabor & into western australia. we then head up the west coast to broome, thru the kimberley's & across to katherine (northern territory) before going down the guts to alice springs - in all roughly 16,000km ...

I am riding a BMW GS1000 - shall be awesome

Nice if you have the spare time!

Enjoy the trip. The Nullabor may be a flat, lifeless... plain, but riding across it on a bike is really something!

Enjoy!

I have toured pretty much all of the eastern states (over 80,000km) on a Honda VF1000F2F, but got married before I could head to the West. I still hope to do it one day.

Sorry to disappoint you but as a drive its just a long distance, no challenge since they sealed it - as for riding it Mick, 'I dips me lid' & wishes you every safety between ales at the Yarck Hilton

Do Tasmania, there are usually some regular tours organised. I remember a certain other website that shares the same name as a major magazine do them frequently.

Not sure if you are still in Coober Pedy, but bring a visit to Crocodile Harry there!
He is a legend in Coober Pedy

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the trip, I have driven the same route in 2006 with a car, the Nullarbor was brilliant imo, but it must be an experience on a bike! Do you have a website with pictures and a travel story?

grtz, Wapflap
