The Nullabor Plain...
Fellow ten-tenthers...
I am going on a 4/5 week bike tour monday (apr 21). my venture starts in country victoria and heads towards mildura, port augusta & ceduna in south australia before crossing the nullabor & into western australia. we then head up the west coast to broome, thru the kimberley's & across to katherine (northern territory) before going down the guts to alice springs - in all roughly 16,000km ... I am riding a BMW GS1000 - shall be awesome |

Nice if you have the spare time!
Enjoy the trip. The Nullabor may be a flat, lifeless... plain, but riding across it on a bike is really something! |

That's my next travel project is to drive across Australia via the Nullabor Plain to Perth.

I have toured pretty much all of the eastern states (over 80,000km) on a Honda VF1000F2F, but got married before I could head to the West. I still hope to do it one day. |

Do Tasmania, there are usually some regular tours organised. I remember a certain other website that shares the same name as a major magazine do them frequently.

g'day from coober pedy - 9,500km into the trip & on my way back... i got a tender bum & are almost over motorcycles
rode through flash flooding up the west coast about 10 days ago - 120mm of rain dumped & it had no where to go... that was an experience & a half!!! talk to you 10/10th'ers soon ps : aint seen no bike racing for 3 weeks - how them aussies going |

stuck in coober pedy - battery gave up the ghost & it takes a day & half to be freighted up... not happy, i dont want to drink beer on monday!!!

Not sure if you are still in Coober Pedy, but bring a visit to Crocodile Harry there!
He is a legend in Coober Pedy Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the trip, I have driven the same route in 2006 with a car, the Nullarbor was brilliant imo, but it must be an experience on a bike! Do you have a website with pictures and a travel story? grtz, Wapflap |
