Twin Ring Motegi
Any news on the condition of Twin Ring Motegi after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan? I was wondering if it's usable as a race track.

I saw some twitpics on the SuperGT thread and all it showed was a few broken windows in the Motegi pressboxes and a crack in the tarmac in the paddock area.
Fairly minor stuff compared to the onslaught the lowlying coastal areas copped. I have no idea how transport to and from the track may be affected. |

Motogp will wait for the call to either go or postponed the Motogp race there (and as we know it can be moved just like last year!) so the Japanes people will need to make a call very quicky on that one!

Motegi is roughly 125 miles South West of Sendai. However I'm not too worried about any race being held, there is a much bigger issue at hand.

Radiation levels are reportedly a big worry for everybody in the north of Honshu island. But as long as the 3 havoc reactors are still spilling, there is no telling as to how the aftermath will be like. All we can do from here is hope and pray for the people of Japan.
