rallycrossnl should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
One of the old Jan de Rooy's DAF with the Gordini Engine during an interview for RTL7 / RTL GP. This car is in rally - rallycross trim, they also did rally's in the same car.

Rally trim yes, but not in Rallycross trim. Wonder if this is the original 555 "het bultje" (but without the roof hump now) or one of the two later Camel-DAF 555s (one for Jan de Rooy and one for his brother Harry de Rooy). BTW, the third 5 stood for Group 5, but the 555s were actually built for rallying/racing to meet with the Group 6 rules by then. I know of at least three 555s, but it could have been four of five in total. The Camel-DAFs with BDA engines had 4WD (via F3 variomatic) in 1972, were driven with RWD in the ERCs of 1973 and 1974 (due to the 4WD ban) by Jan and Harry and have also been used with 4WD for iceracing in the French Alpes (one was driven by Wim Luijbregts).

Hi All
Sorry for the thread revival......but
referring to an earlier post in this thread,
a little additional information here.
The Mr2 raced by paul easterbrook is alive and well and still in his possesion,
his unit adjoins the unit occupied by dave philips of philspeed engines,
paul is still as passionate about his car.
