Also, I read somewhere that the WRC new promoter will be announced this Friday, and surprise, surprise - it's Eurosport. The talks about a merge of IRC and ERC should resurface again.

Not sure if we have any French speakers to confirm what Google translation is telling me...
http://www.citroen-wrc.com/2012/actu...en-dabu-dhabi/ ...Citroen are back for 2013, Hirvonen will be driving for them again and Loeb will continue to drive for them: but only for select events. It mentions a possible Citroen entry into the WTCC in 2014/2015. I wonder if Loeb will follow up this years X-Games appearance with some rallycross in 2013 as well? |

Here is the english press version:
http://www.citroen-wrc.com/en/2012/n...ith-abu-dhabi/ Citroën will be back in the 2013 WRC and will enter 3x DS3. - One will be driven by Hirvonen for the full season. - One for the 2nd crew. --- Loeb will do some rounds, starting with Monte-Carlo --- (Neuville will probably do the other rounds) - Khaleed Al-Qassimi will drive the third DS3. Maybe WTCC in 2014/2015 with Loeb (don't know what this means for the WRC programm) Quote:

If they can't, or don't want to, afford an LMP program, then what other championship with a global reach is there? China or Brazil are important markets for Citroen. Besides, WTCC is rather close technology-wise to WRC, which would mean an easy transition. And with a potential Loeb/Muller duet, they would have a multiple shots at the titles in the years to come, and all of that on small budget
Also, there are rumours that 208 WRC will replace DS3. Citroen will stay in rallying with an R5 (plus R3, R2), but on a regional/national level only. |

The front end of the i20 looks great, the back is a bit dated. The 208 with the Le Mans night stripes is beautiful.

Antti is brutal. I'd love him to direct a film himself.

Antti just captures rallying perfectly. That video was fantastic.

What I'm missing in the video is the sound of the cars, even if it was quiet comparing to the music. But it only strucked me when I watched the video for the third time
In other news, Rallye France will be held this weekend, but Romain Dumas knows the difference between LMP and WRC cars already. The article is slightly lame, but it might be enjoyable to read |

It's standard WRC.com fayre....
And although they're right in saying the R18 Romain has driven is RWD, it could mention that there is a hybrid e-tron quattro version... |
