Will they use the long or short course at COTA?

Surely the long course. Nobody liked the short course and the racing on it was pretty terrible (it removed the 2 of the 3 best overtaking places).
The only reason they used the short course in 2013 was because the V8 Supercars wanted shorter lap times.

If GT goes to Mosport this year, I'd like to make that.

If Mosport gets confirmed and (one of) the TBA is gonna be either Watkins Glen or Lime Rock the schedule will look great as far as venues are concerned!

As someone in the northeast, PWC at Lime Rock would get my interest to buy some tickets. A TUSC race of LMPC and IMSA spec GTD will not do it for me.

"Stand Alone" means no other series. GT classes will be the headliners. They will most likely have the "T" classes there as well.
Looking forward to the Monterey peninsula in late summer. Texas in March might not be bad either.

So they're actually going for being the headliner now? Atleast a few rounds of the season is a start....

IIRC, they had a couple this season, too. Last race at Miller in Salt Lake area was a headliner, for sure.
With the momentum that they've been building, they should do well.

NASCAR moved to August at Road America. I would expect some other SCCA races to go along with GT/GT-Cup, GTS, and the TC races. Mazda MX-5 Cup would be great. Trans Am would make sense, but (until the schedule announcement was retracted) Trans Am was going to race at Road American with NASCAR in August...Hopefully the retraction brings Trans Am to Road America with PWC

'stand alone' does not exclude other series but they won't run with Nascar/Indycar/TUSC on those weekends.
Road America being such a stand alone event it should see all PWC classes in action, they might combine the different classes into 2 groups (instead of 3) for that one, GT(A) + Porsche Cup and GTS+TC classes.
TransAm does quite a few of their events with SVRA and some with Nascar (Road America, Mid-Ohio) basically because of financial considerations, joining PWC at Road America sounds like a great idea but not sure if it makes enough financial sense (for TA at least, maybe for both of them). A full weekend of SCCA Pro Racing series will certainly fill the event schedule but they might need an outside partner. This year finale at Miller was run in conjunction with the lower K&N Nascar league (which had the Sunday afternoon slot for their feature race) so not really stand alone nor PWC as headliner.
OT: I'm expecting the TA schedule to come out at the latest at their last event at Daytona, mid November.

I'm really looking forward to next years Road America stand alone event.
Hopefully some extra support series will be added, however I feel that the standard PWC classes alone would be well worth the trip.
PWC 2014 was AWESOME, and I think that 2015 will only get better!

Since tickets will be on sale by November 3rd, I expect that additional support series (if any) will probably be announced soon.
It is interesting that many of the entrance gates will be closed. I don't think that Road America is expecting a very large turnout.
We'll have to surprise them!
