Well that was a major disappointment and one of the most bizarre motor races that I've ever seen.

Hope so. Would be cool to see a underdog win |

Yeah, that was a bizarre one.
Superview packed it up so I watched it through the VLC means. As bizarre as it all was, really awesome to see LDM and Percat take the win. Sometimes the little guys do come out on top. |

Ten finished 30mins early which is bizarre. There is a massive protest on Facebook about that rule of 140L. What is also frustrating is that the V8s finished way too early as it should go the full distance for the major events rather than this time certain finish.

Congratulations to Nick Percat and the LDM team.
Good to the little guys get onto the podium. What did Percat pay on Ubet? Apart from that a crazy day for the V8 boys. Three races, three different winners and Caruso leads the championship. Roll on the Grand Prix. |

I know it is difficult to write rules and regulations covering all scenarios but surely this is a case for commonsence [sadly lacking in V8 supercar officialdom] to ignore the fuel regs, with more one third of the race to still to be run how is a team to manage this situation. As for the start did they make it up as they went along? A second rate performance from the officials to such a great race.

What the actual F just happened?
The rule book is contrived and makes no sense as demonstrated today. When you have sub-clauses for sub-clauses, it's time to start from scratch. When a forest grows too wild, a purging fire is inevitable and natural. Tim Schenken, retire mate! We all heard you on the telecast today, you had no idea where you were half the time. You're 72, you had a good run, but go home and have a beer and let someone else take over. We all beg you! |

How come the TV coverage on Ten finished at 6pm, when it was advertised as 6.30pm finish?

We had a couple of things happened today that have never happened before or at least rarely happen. The only issue appeared to be releaseing the cars from pit lane a alap too early and it would also seem some volunteers were trying to enforce a rule regarding working on cars under red flags that was not part of the series will be an interesting time in front of the stewards tonight from some of the early incidents im sure inside supercars will have all the news on tuesday night |

Utter abortion of a race.
Even something like the SVG/JC debacle just pales in comparsion compared to some of the other pearlers. Is the race started or isn't it A clean out at race control is needed. Schenken and Bargs just dont seem as competent as a series like Supercars deserves. |

You could argue this is a case of poorly written rules - or perhaps LDM and others were smart and predicted the full race distance wouldn't be reached and dumped in fuel early. At the end of the day, the rules are written, published and I believe signed off by a committee which includes several team owners. |

Plodders/backmarkers usually fuel up early, doubt there was any great prescience involved |

the issue today was that some teams (but not red bull/caltex) did a better strategy than others and the more common front runners did not stratagise well enough. bad luck to them. the rolled the dice the wrong way. it happens in races with unpredicatble issues like weather or late safety cars |

I thought a race could only be declared after 75% of distance? Any less is only half points or something?
So race is declared at under 55% if race distance, yet teams are still expected to take on the minimum fuel load...... |
