Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
@bella, Japan is not a bad direction for Lynn. Super GT, GT300 class looks massively better than few years back. @Samurai, how could Sekiguchi got "lower quality" parts, is it not all manufactured by Dallara?

No details.
But in technical regulations, it's possible to exchange chassis parts only by vehicle supplier (Dallara) except for a certain parts (on-board camera, radio etc).
According to Sekiguchi, it was a clearly low quality parts so that it appeared in the data logger.

yeah, my thoughts exactly about lynn. seems like a sensible investment versus lmp2 or something similar over here like the other gp2 exiles.

the only sensible non-conspiracy theory thing i can think of there is that his car had parts that were at the end of their life or had been repaired where permitted and they were only using new things on the other car...?

I reread tech regulations. It's possible to remodel/change several parts.
It might be a damper. Damper can be remodeled.
JAF will post English version 2017 tech regulations PDF file on its website soon.
Then I will link its address on this thread. Wait for it.

It's bit old, but this is 2015 technical regulations.

As Nicolas Dura has pointed out, Red Bull almost did something like this back in 2008 when they thought about setting up a Formula Nippon team for Filipe Albuquerque and Adrian Zaugg.

Marco Wittmann was wearing Redbull Sponsorship in 2016 in DTM

AFAIK Afdc was wearing Redbull coloured helmet as well as Buemi and other former Redbull Junior drivers as per contract .

Somebody on Super GT Series thread said Hirakawa became Red Bull sponsored athlete. Is there any possibility in him taking over a Toyota ride in Super Formula?

Very unlikely. He's being groomed for LMP1, hence why he dropped Super Formula last year to run the full ELMS season + 24h Le Mans.

Granted, I've long been of the opinion that Hirakawa is an F1-caliber driver. He's certainly going to make waves in LMP1 if Toyota gives him even a third car for Le Mans.

And there it is, the 2017 Honda Super Formula roster, headlined by Pierre Gasly driving for Team Mugen, making up part of one of if not the strongest rookie class of all time in Japanese Top Formula racing.

That's cosmic to see Gasly racing in the category, look what it did to Vandoorne. Main problem is the lack of seats in F1

Regarding the 2nd seat at Sunoco Team LeMans, it's now come to light that along with Antonio Felix da Costa, Sergey Sirotkin is now also in the running.
