Well that was an unexpected. Crazy. I did a little research on him for the preview, but was not expecting that. Impressive.

Also, what's up with GTCup? No qualifiers at all? Did they just cancel the class due to lack of participation? |

I really hope GT Cup entries go up soon, or it just gets dropped completely. Sprint X only if at all |

Great race by Andrew Aquilante! Expert tire management.
Really impressed by Flying Lizards Rodrigo Baptista as well. Good solid first GTS race. |

The Porsches and XBows seemed a bit handicapped by the BoP, but Baptista certainly put in a good showing. Definitely a car to watch this season. Good consistent runs by Barkey and Stacy, too. |

MotorTrend website used to work fine in the UK for streams. Now it says I can't watch from outside the US? Is anyone else going to be streaming these races?

Fantastic race, a great way to start the season. Alvaro Parente basically picking up where he left off in 2016. Brilliant drive!
Pretty sure O'Connell and Long are picking up where they left off in 2016 too, really great mostly clean racing. Good drive by James Davison, definitely need him back in the series full time. And a great PWC debut for Bryan Sellers! |

I think Alvaro is the next guy that a WEC GTE Pro or IMSA GTLM operation will be bringing into the fray. My bet is BMW. I'm sure they will be be like Ford and Porsche and run both series full time in 2018. For Bryan if he shows well maybe he can be a McLaren factory driver in the future when Alvaro gets picked off by someone else. |

Ok, so is this available to watch for free or not (in UK)? Not figured it out yet...

He'll be a WEC driver soon, but not for a current WEC team, that new McLaren 720s is most def going to be a GTE car |

Anyone watching catch what the local yellow at 4 or 5 is for? I don't see anything off there.... |

Good stuff, indeed. Sellars got the shaft on the late restart but glad the late FCY didn't have too much of an affect on the event.

Great race, nice clean run by Pat Long. It looked like Riberas and Parente had the speed to catch him if they could have gotten past Johnny O. A bit of a shame neither one had had a better start/first corner.
Another good drive from Bryan Sellers, sucks that Mancinelli got into him...twice. Alec Udell was certainly impressive, hanging right with the big guns. A bummer that Ryan Dalziel and CRP Racing had such a rough weekend, hopefully they had better luck at Long Beach Really good job by the towing crew, getting Davison's Aston to a safe place really quickly. Finally, fantastic streams from PWC for all four races, they were almost perfect. |

This was a really fun weekend of racing. So many super competitive teams and drivers this year, lots of green flag racing, fantastic cars.
More of this please! |
