The usual bonkers good Blancpain Endurance list:

http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/le-...-gt3-a-lannee/

Pity no Lexus or any new cars, but 33 Pro cars will be crazy, Audi, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, BMW, Mercedes and Nissan all throwing serious works efforts at it.

Interesting to read of the return of Roock Racing - with Porsches, naturally!

And because of that there is a feeling of a status quo about the entry list as awesome as it is. No new manufacturers at all. No Lexus, No Acura, No Calloway Corvette, No Pro Porsche. On that by the way the Herbert team needs to stop being the big fish in the small ponds of Creventic and ADAC and give the big guys at Blancpain GT a run.

But why can't we appreciate that? What a great status quo to have!

Yeah, some of the new stuff would be nice, but Acura clearly don't value European events at the moment (is HPD/Acura North America funding that car?), the Lexus programme is borderline shambolic, Callaway are doing great things with their still new car and branching out to endurance racing in other series, Cadillac is an infuriating programme that GM will never let outside PWC and Porsche clearly don't see any value in GT3 victories.

I agree that the last one in particular is a pity and it would be great to see Manthey out with a car (fingers crossed for N24), but we still have so many works programmes, great drivers in every class and another potentially superb year ahead.

The Lexus GT3 program is going good this year (finally). Plus there's a rumor that Emil Frey and/or Farnbacher will bring one or two Lexus's. Still a good entry list regardless. Could do with another Porsche and Aston but first world problems if there's a complaint on these entries!

Emil Frey and Farnbacher will both centre around a GT Open campaign, although they may look to do a few one of rounds in various series.

I personally struggle to see the logic in putting both teams in the GT Open.

I'd say run one in GT Open full season, and the second can circulate Blancpain, VLN, gt masters, the British GT Spa round, that sort of thing

Well then, one more reason to not miss Spa this year (as if there weren't enough already).
