This will bring up one of my pet hates with the justice system. A guy walks into a bank with a shotgun and steals $10000, will maybe get 10-15 years. A guys steals 200-400 million will probably get off with a slap on the wrist or 1-2 years in jail, where's the justice ????

just saying that in victoria over the last 5 years only 65% of armed robbery offenders end up in prison and the average term is 3 years for a male and 2.4 years for a female

Alan Bond was sentanced to 7 years in prison. he did not use a gun on anyone

Maybe not, but several people committed suicide because of Alan Bond's business practices where he bankrupted them.

He destroyed lives and he sure as hell didn't serve 7 years for one of the largest thefts in this country's history. (Also currently estimated to be worth around $160m).

Btw, the Mickelberg brothers, also from Perth, were sentenced to up to 20 years for stealing a few hundred thousand dollars worth of gold - they didn't use a gun either. (Oh, and they were also framed).

He still lives in Sanctuary Cove (Gated estate) and as it's considered private property will still drive around in there - he is probably the most disliked person in Sanctuary cove (lots of dodgy types live there so he's in good company) but he keeps well away from the social hot spots where the (real) rich and famous mingle .
