You may see Macpherson moonlight in the Porsche throughout the season.

Scraping the bottom of the barrell?? He either turns up or he doesn't - wasn't your question about who would turn up with STM rather than conversations of performance capability?

You can also add Dylan O'Keefe in the HSY Audi for MPC

Great to see Tony back especially after his accident last year.

Has raced an Aston Martin, Mercedes and now and Audi in 12 months. Not a bad gig

Erebus Motorsport has commenced discussions with several manufacturers including Bentley as it looks to make a return to GT racing.

The Melbourne squad has been longing to rejoin the GT3 scene having been absent since contesting the 2016 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour with a pair of Mercedes SLS GT3s.

In a bid to resurrect its GT racing roots the team is currently involved in talks with number of brands as it seeks to acquire new GT3 race cars.

I got the impression they are aiming for 2019, although it wasnt clear.

but im guessing ist a bit late now if they dont have cars in place at least for the first few rounds (round 3 is just over two months away)

Word floating around is that Round 1 at the Australian Grand Prix is over subscribed with entries. Hopefully some of this momentum and competitors continue into the rest of the season

Pretty impressive drawcard for the event and Australian GT.

I am not sure of grid density however one would imagine it would it around the 40 car mark. So a decent spectacle - hopefully plenty of green flag running.

Ive looked at the Aust Gt website and it is suggesting up to 30 cars, although i would think this may be more marketing than official. (for the record 29 last year). In theory also includes trophy cars

Great news for round 1 of the Australian GT. Good to see to Marranello back out after they were MIA at the Bathurst 12 hour

Three-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Marcel Fässler will contest the opening round of the Australian GT Championship at Albert Park.

The former Audi LMP1 star will partner reigning champion Geoff Emery in the #1 Audi Sport Customer Racing Australia R8.

It is hoped the Swiss driver will be able to contest all three endurance rounds of the Australian GT championship at The Bend, Phillip Island and Hampton Downs, in addition to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix from March 22-25.

Probably a new favourite for the W at Albert Park

The 2017 Australian Endurance Championship-winning pair of Peter Hackett and Dominic Storey will re-form for the opening round of the Australian GT season at Albert Park.

Hackett’s partner for the three endurance rounds, which now form part of the Australian GT Championship, has not yet been announced.

Considering there are no calendar clashes, and they are both being run out of Eggleston's, you would expect Storey will get the gig, finances being the only potential hurdle

it will be good with a week to go to get a draft entry list

Rumored "full"field, but of what we know we are about 1/3 Gt4 and an unknown amount of Trophy cars (over 5 years old) possibly topped up by MARCs

Time will tell peckstar. No need to get ahead of yourself.

Great news to have the defending champion back though isn't it!

Can someone explain the GT3 round at the Creek in August to me. The Supercars are running on Friday and Saturday into the evening (3rd - 4th), and the GT3 calendar says their meeting is running between 4th - 5th. So Sunday is just GT3? Are there any other categories running on that day?
