JCDC/Jota PLANNING for 2 cars at Daytona and if that goes well NAEC campaign. Sounds like they are studying how to get cars to testing with the IMSA spec packaging. From the article:

“I think it will be a very strong program. Sam [Hignett, Jota director] and I are going through the list every day, on things that need to be ordered.

“There’s a lot of changes to the car, like [wiring] looms, and we need to get a handle on the whole package for Daytona.

“We need to be testing and get a good understanding of the package."

I was at VIR for a track day this weekend and Multimatic showed up at the end of the day yesterday. Not sure if it was testing for Ford or Mazda, I would assume Ford since VIR is a GT-only race, but you never know.

I think Visit Florida is basically confirmed in a cadillac if not officially. And I wouldn't expect Starworks in the prototype class as they'll be involved in the Land Audi(s) program and I haven't heard anything about their P2 plans since before this year's season started.

JDC will be back with the same lineup next year which I think is great.

They have also taken delivery of their second chassis and will be test drivers at Sebring. Including Colin Thompson. I think it would be great to see a P3 driver make the step up.

Kenton Koch would be a good option too - as are Sean Rayhall and Austin Cindric. Plenty of US racing talent around it seems.

Ah, didn't think of that. It was a multimatic branded hauler, looked like they were offloading tools and carts, but no car-identifying item that i could see.

The only downside of Lapierre in the ESM is that it probably means DragonSpeed won't be returning. Hedman has said he's not been that interested as well.

Since they've rebuilt the stands at Daytona all testing has been closed to the public. Hopefully that changes at some point but I'm not going to hold my breath. They will however sell you a track tour for about $20 that gets you in the stands for about 10 minutes and in the infield where they keep you as far away from the track and garages as they possibly can.

They should do a prologue type thing the wec does. I know they have the roar though.
