I dont think it's a typo. For him to turn up at BMR ("who they?" many would have said at the time) a few months later in a virtually sponsor free car suggests the exit from 888 was not planned in advance - it does to me anyway. JP always prior to this move turned up as part of a big deal of some description with lashings of sponsorship.

I think Warren Scott threw a lifeline whilst thinking "Blimey Charlie, I've landed two of the best in the business now".

Unless he shares a seat with someone we won't see Huff on the grid unless it’s like last years cameo. WTCR has too many calendar clashes.

Looks like Ingram will be back at Speedworks -

"Awesome news from @Autosport_Show @torqracewear continue to support Speedworks drivers in 2018. @Tomingram80 will wear the latest Torq Superlight 1 suit during the @DunlopBTCC season #ASI18 #motorsport #fashion #race-different" - Speedworks on Twitter

The question though, is in what?

Yeah he’s definitely back with Speedworks, though couldn’t get him to spill the beans on the car situation. They are off to Portugal testing next month.

Touring Car Ragister on Facebook updating the registery with HMS chassis number 1:

“Unveiled at the Autosport Show this week, the HMS Racing Alfa Romeo to be driven by Rob Austin. The first of this years new NGTC cars. More cars to follow....”

Nigel you tease! I read that as more to come in addition to the Focus RS’ and Dynamics Civics I guess?

Because people are really reading too much into statements and tweets etc, then over analysing them and coming up with something completely wrong.

Has anyone thought that this weeks announcements at Autosport Show lacked the “I never saw that one coming!” effect. The new cars and drivers had been known about before the show, are teams unveiling at the show getting fed up of being news on Thursday for 30 mins till the next car/driver reveal.

Teams who issue a press release in the days before the show can get publicity for the whole day.

I would be surprised to see Huff in WTCC. He demands paid seat, not to pay for his drive and in BTCC he won't find paid drive. So I think he'll be in WTCR, either in Münnich or Leopard. As far as I remember he even said about his connections to both teams which can be comfortable to him to find a drive in WTCR.

Completely agree; Huffy needs to earn his keep and doesn't have enough personal sponsorship. He'll run in WTCR. Senna Proctor will be back at PMR subject to a bit more funding being found so I here.

JP being a guest at Flux is significant: they, I'm sure, would have said driver if that were the case. Or maybe the PR people are being clever in the wording to leave us dangling...

So did Plato not give anything away today?
Being on the Adrian Flux stand I am guessing one of the following:
Still hammering out a deal to race for BMR.
Still in contract and doing final dutys before switching to a new team.
Not racing this year and being an ambassador for Flux.

Or talking to Adrian Flux about extending their sponsorship to a team with no TBL's and no cars he is about to take over? Just saying.

Just a quick add, at Autosport today they had Neal, Jordan, Sutton, Shedden and Turkington together on the live stage and Matt confirmed that they have new cars in build and the first one should be complete by end of Feb as they have a week in Spain testing booked. Also said the new cars have longer wheelbase but better drag and downforce than the old cars.

You’d think Dynamics would have been further along i the build than that, considering how long the current model has been out. But then again we can see what a peculiar place the BTCC can be.

Yes, must admit was expecting at least a rolling shell for ASI, but that said, this build seems to be taking no longer that their first NGTC build, plus you forget that the last few 'builds' have been mainly aero and bodywork tweaks and not ground-up design and builds.
