Looks like a beautiful day weather wise at Symmons Plains, maybe a tad on the cool side initially.
Yesterday’s practice session had a southerly wind, today’s forecast shows a light northwesterly from 10am. Let’s go racing! |

! second covering the field - what you'd expect at the Plains I guess - only have to sneeze at the wrong moment and you'd drop a couple of rows on the grid.
Tickford not having a good day at all are they? Might do better in the race but there'll be some head scratching going on there no doubt. |

Looked to me that the Van Gis early pit-stop move was pre-planned, to use Van Gis as a mobile chicane to try and get Whincup ahead, incase the Wau cars or Reynolds had a faster race pace after what happened in Melbourne.
Could be argued that Tickford has less experience (additional new composite panels for some tickford cars even since the Australian GP round) running their 'Falcons' in their current configuration than the teams with the ZB with 2 rounds on them? |

Brights technical knowledge might help though, he seems to have the KBR car going OK in Super 2 this weekend. Not sure he would be faster than Super Richie though!

Wow, Jack le Brocq has really hit the ground running. Who knew it would only take 2 1/2 rounds to be mixing it with the big boys of the series, especially while having to develop a new car. Amazing.

Crash damage aside, the thing isn't even that quick in general.
It seems to be a common trend that no 3-4 car team can consistantly field a full complement of competitive cars. Not even Triple Eight can manage it on a regular basis. |
