Something Tricky

I've just discovered something fairly cool...

One of the places I work at sponsor a 1/5th scale touring car, and this weekend being the state championships I thought I'd pop by for a gander.

Oh my god!

Are these things neat! At the end of the straight they are doing about 100km/h, and they don't button off much in the corners. So by scale they are probably doing 300-500km/h, and I gotta tell, with the digital and the SLR, they are tough little blighters to snap! Another thing, they have some of the most massive accidents of all time, but once the wheels hit the ground, they are off and nobody gets hurt.

Here's one from this morning of a a guy getting nerfed off

Like the pic of the Alfa - reminds me of the DTM around the full length Nurburgring.

Some pics can now be found in the gallery at www.qrda.asn.au/pics.html

I went back last night because they had the Pro Tourers and the Gas Tourers on, and my god, they are frightening! They're smaller, faster, and have bigger accidents... I sussed out a few spots not to stand quick smart! I'll post an update if any of those shots turned out.
