Tube Frame vs Unit-body = Unfair Advantage

Prep 2 is the most ridiculous thing in American road racing currently. Cars that have no business being built (Grand Am V8? no such production car), cars that aren't competitive otherwise (Mazda RX8, Mustang GT, BMW M6) and a downright abomination in a tube-frame Prep 2 built Ferrari 430!

Back in the GTU era, people built tube-frame Porsche 911's and they never looked right.

Its GARRA stupid attempt at cost reduction, nonsense!

Knowing 997 GT3's would run off and hide from these purposely slowed down GT cars, they created this stupid formula.

This is totally off topic but has to be said!

At the end of the season you will kneel forehead the Porsche to kiss its badge. I'm sorry for you, brielga.
A GT2 Porsche faster than GT1s in torrential rain? No way! Is this a) a shocker that indicates Porsche have built the best GT2 ever or b) the most predictable and, in fact, pre-proven eventuality possible.

Hmm...I choose b. Because it's actually the true one.

If the Porsche (a pig) is faster than your Ferrari... Well, what Ferrari is? A prancing donkey!

Donkey cart beats out Porsche

LISBON - A donkey cart beat a Porsche in a race held in a northern Portuguese city over the weekend to see which mode of transportation could best handle car congestion.

The cart, pulled by a seven-year-old donkey named Tironi, was the first to reach the port city of Viana do Castelo from the suburb of Areosa some two kilometres away, Jornal de Noticias newspaper reported on Monday.

Viana do Castelo opposition city councillor Antonio Jose Amaral, who helped organise the challenge held Sunday, said the result proved the need to build a ring road around the city of some 36 000 people.

"Unfortunately the donkey ended up winning.

This mode of transportation is not from our era but it looks like to get around Viana do Castelo we have to go back in time," he said.

City officials have rejected the need for the construction of a ring road arguing there are no major traffic problems in the city.

Rumours suggest Porsche have switched to Hankook, simply to take the mick out of the Ferrari...

The winning Porsche (and let's not pretend, gentlemen, it will be a Porsche) will be the one left running after Jaime Melo and Mika Salo (Ferrari's expert crash display team) have tried to take out all the rest.

I don't want to turn this thread into anything serious, but I am very impressed (and extremely relieved) with the qualifying perfomance of the 997RSR.
