Yeah. It's now confirmed. Said will drive the 26, but the team could S&P some races after Bristol.

#78 Formed a technical and engineering alliance with Richard Childress Racing and will be in the top-35 in owners points using the owners points from the closed up #07 RCR team, BUT will still run Hendrick Motorsports engines

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place. |

Baldwin expands to 2 teams. The 35 will run 3 races in 2010 with Johnny Sauter.
Also, Front Row plays some musical chairs for Daytona. Here's their lineup: 34: John Andretti 37: Travis Kvapil 38: Robert Richardson Jr. for Fontana, it will all switch back to: 34: Kvapil 37: Conway 38: Gilliland |

More details on the 2nd Prism car; The 55 was sold to the 2nd car and will run the entire season.
"McDowell to run full season: per Michael McDowell's Facebook page - Michael McDowell has signed with Prism Motorsports to run full time in the Sprint Cup Series in the #55 car. It was posted recently that Dave Blaney would return to Prism Motorsports to run the #66 car full-time in 2010 and McDowell would run some races in a 2nd car. The #66 Prism Motorsports team attempted all 36 Sprint Cup Series races in 2010, with Terry Labonte in the Daytona 500, Blaney in 34 races and McDowell at Talladega in April when Blaney had a family obligation. No word on a sponsor or crew chief.(2-1-2010)" |

Also, Confirmed. The Hall of Fame Racing 96, who finished 31st in points last year, has shut down. Owners points should go to the 3rd Front Row team, the 38.
"all indications are that the #96 Hall of Racing team, that had an alliance with Yates Racing in 2009, has closed and will not run in 2010." |

Is it just me or does anyone else find this idea of shuffling the owners points around ridiculous?

No need to thank me. I just think that updated on teams cutting down operations/ changing drivers is important for Nascar fans that will continue to keep up with the sport indefinitely. For example, if Harvick actually does bolt from RCR this year, you guys won't be caught off guard.

The funny thing is Tommy Baldwin already has an 18 race sponsor this year...someone else prolly needs it worse than him....if anyone else would dare to put that on their car.
Speaking of Sponsorship, Window World will again sponsor 2 cars in the Daytona 500, again for Front Row's 34, and now for Said's 26. I guess I can now say, let the races begin!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woot. |

Done. Miccosucee has left Nascar. Almorola MIGHT leave the 09 now, if he already hasn't. He's apparently driving for Billy Ballew in trucks this year too.

Also, on Media Day last Thursday, Robby Gordon stated that despite him not running the full season, his #7 will stay full time. He will likely have a 2nd driver in the car while he's off-roading.

Breaking news!!!! GWC may disappear!!!!! However, if the caution comes out after the white flag is waved, race ends.

More info at NASCAR.com. I'm all for it, finishes like the one we saw in the Bud Shootout is just a big anticlimax no one wants to see. Well, not one I want to see at least. |
