To be honest, she is probably better off in another series

Supercars have suddenly decided it should be their role to facilitate bringing any new manufacturers into the series:
https://www.speedcafe.com/2018/06/06...acturer-deals/ Wonder how this suddenly became so apparent; and whether there are any makes actually interested? |

As for new manufacturers who knows. One has to take into account the reducing influence of sedan type cars in the local marketplace being of impact to the relevance of any such decision. Plus the high costs v returns in sales in what is at best a small marketplace internationally. |

He's doing something that should've been in place a long time ago; gear the catagory towards work with the manufacturers, rather than relying on them.

It’s a case of back to the future - in the Cochrane days this was in place - there were a couple of manufacturers that got very close. Maybe this approach was changed under the Archer regime? |

Bingo The category really seems to have ignored this in recent times which will prove to the detriment of the category in the short term. And yes the Ford Mustang is a positive point but it’s only one of a number of manufacturers that looked at the category. |

Want new manufacturer/s?
Very simple. Don't use a "bespoke" ruleset. Not many will spend the r&d on a tin top that can only be raced in one series within a relatively small market. |

I'm pretty relaxed about manufacturers, as long as it's not one make. I'd love the big fest we had with merc, nissan and volvo joining equally as much as i would be quite happy watching 2004 commodores and falcons belt around. i know i'm the minority but i don't need a race car to be related to the latest 2018 sedan for this series to be enjoyable.
i just need them to be 630 horsepower RWD lunatic cars driven by the merry band of nutters who have entered this series in the past 20 years. |

I have just watched this BTCC Touring Car Legends. Some very similar issues in both series.
BUT.... they have figured it out and now have strong manufacturer support because they read what the direction the car market is going. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebdtu9Jar7w Part 3 is interseting. |

Any chance of Ms Gracie coming back to motorsport is pretty slim.
