I don't normally find Davey all that funny - but that was an absolute corker. Made Phelps look like a complete ****** (which isn't that hard to do anyway)

I'd be very surprised if Tekno isn't fighting hardest for the signature of Fabs, being in essentially a 4th T8 entry despite their current form would be a hard option to reject no matter who else was putting offers on the table. |

If the team knows the answer, share it, stop the speculation... stop fueling an expectation and not delivering. It might afford the squad column inches, but that's about all it does... |

Marcos will be driving in the enduros, he will compete in some practise sessions, he will make his mind up during the enduros. Expect an announcement some time after bathurst but more likely Gold coast. |

Very POOR FORM of Phelps to say publicly that SCA do not want Slade next year. Its so typical of modern media to trash the lesser participants, while protecting their favourites. Maybe SCA should look at shifting their budget to a team where they will not rank as the No.3 car. BJR could be a good place to land, and they'd be treated like kings. WP has never been a great place for the 3rd and 4th car.

And while I'm here, Ambrose really should call it a day in V8SC, and if he wants to continue driving, go to LeMans or international GT racing. He'd have plenty of connections in the US, where he is still regarded as a circuit genius...every time he steps into a V8SC and steps back out again saying he doesn't enjoy it anymore, he'll look like someone who has lost the hunger to figure out something that no longer comes naturally.
The pointy end of V8SC is only for those willing to give their left one, and he is clearly not in that place. |

The team could stop speculation but choose not to do so...

and who is replacing Slade at walkinshaw, they should tell us, because they should know. Its July, why would teams have to tell us in July what is happening in 2016. lets concentrate on 2015 first |

There are alot of scenarios that could be in play and we know 100% their intentions until after the GC600 which is still 3 months and 5 rounds away. The pressure is really on Fabs, he is the one looking at playing musical chairs until the last moment.. Bjr looking at 1, 2 or 3 new drivers and sponsorship uncertain outside freightliner. CSR without sponsorship locked in. SCAR without a driver or supply deal locked in. GRM with possible second seat movement. Tekno completely up in the air. The superblack scenario without a REC locked in. DjrTP seem to have an unfair amount of focus in the scheme of things. |

It would only be known where drivers are driving if contracts have been signed. Ambrose has a contract. Fabs and Slade don't that we are aware of.

Does Slade deserve a contract?
Apart from Cameron Waters coming thru the Dunlop Series, are there any other drivers who could step upto the main game? |

Mr Coulthard apparently has a clause in his contract that he cannot negotiate to sign elsewhere until October. What isnt clear is if BJR have a last rights clause to keep him there.

Its hard to understand why the performance from Mr Slade or Mr Holdsworth at the WP 'B' team has been inconsistent (read: poor) relative to the other Holden runners, and indeed their teammates.
Mr Burgess seems to be a fan of Mr Slade, but that said the whole team was supposedly a fan of Mr Percat, and he got thrown away like last week's Auto Action... While we cannot begin to know SuperCheap's marketing objectives, one of them surely is that the race car is shown on the teev sometimes, which right not, it isnt... and since moving to WP, really hasnt... performance (or lack thereof) possibly the only continuing theme |

He will be in the same car as Mr Mostert in the enduros (reportedly), so we can make direct comparisons fairly easily.. |

2012 when Slade was often the lead car for SBR in the #47 must seem a long time ago for him, even 2013 he was a mile in front of the other merc drivers.
Hopefully he can land a more competitive ride for next year. |

I agree. He's no doubt fast but when in a pack he has a history of bending cars including other peoples. Good luck to him this year (right team, right time) but I wonder about his racecraft particularly when under pressure.

I know for a fact that drivers over the years have said that they need to adapt, whether for the car, to beat there team mate, to find an edge or anything else. Those guys career's have gone the distance! |

Um, the above quote was about Mr Waters - do you mean Mr Slade ran behind Lowndes 2 or 3 years back?

So, Mr Dane reckons DJRTP should sign Mr Pye for next season Here which creates a question.. given that 888 is expanding to 3 cars next season, if Mr Pye was so fantabulous, how is it that Mr van Gisbergen has the 3rd seat there?
