They don't have to go for 24hours at race speed.
If they can repair them from time to time then they could/should still be alright.

Even today, a wounded Porsche is still faster than a healthy Rebellion.

Anyone have any thoughts/comments on what we have seen so far his year in GTE?
Why are the Ferraris so far ahead of everyone else? Are Ford and Aston sandbagging? Maybe just running low downforce which isn't suited to track but hides there speed?

Loosing a race is not sandbagging, it's just lack of pace.

Did Porsche just happen to get the #1 working to their satisfaction, or did they send it out because the #6 appears to maybe out and the want to make up the roughly 35 laps to gain a position? #1 is runng good lap times.

Well I don't think it's straightforward.
ACO has all of the performance data logging from the GTE cars at Paul Richard and Silverstone, and they have not made any significant changes to the BOP in spite of the Ferrari's lapping much faster (granted Spa is a long track where Ferrari strength is magnified with each corner).

There was talk of the Ford being a GTE purpose built hypercar, and ignoring reliability for a second, I have yet to see any really flash of speed in WEC.

It's pretty clear from the onboard that the Fords aren't pushing. Or they accidentally fitted off gearbox ratios. It's pretty blatant.
