Now for the "Results"
1. sqw2 -- 11 points -- he picked 3 of the Top 5 (2 in actual spots), two of the Milestones and the "Mover" of the race.... 2.A tie -- both with 8 pts each gert GP Racer gert was 'Closest" to the fastest lap (.615 mph) and had the 1st car out (AJ IV) GP Racer picked the "Backwards Fall" (Taylor) and had 2 Milestones on the mark 3. Down FOrce -- 7 pts.. He also picked two Milestones right 4. Rustyfan -- 6 pts. Rusty was closest on the TieBreaker... (I gave him the pts...after all, God missed my house with a Tornado on Race Day...it's the least I can do...) 5. marcus -- 5 pts. He picked a Milestone and did well in Top 5 6. stmookeyj033 -- 2 pts...had two guys in top 5, but not right spot 7. Tie...bot with one point drdisque Yours truly -- Tim -- not exactly a stellar effort... 8. Bob Riebe....but he sure picked many of my "sentimental" choices... Thanks... I enjoyed it...and many made some excellent picks!!!! |

I'll be glad to do it.... I'll just have to make sure that I track it closely to ensure that it is correct, and we can revise the "milestones" based on the distance of the event.... As an example, a 300 mile race can be don that the 50 mile marks, which also would include the halfway point at 150 miles.... The reason why I started this type of picks is because I think it makes one really think about many aspects of the race....beyond your Top Five or the winner... I'll take a close look at our next race and get the ball rolling about five days to a week away from it... |

I'll certainly do it....
But before this weekend comes up, please give me some input on working it.... Since it is a one-weekend event, should I take a few basic "categories" from the "Pole Day" and a few from the "Race Day" to make "one" event "Pick'ems" or do separate ones... Just one example.... One think I might do for the other events is make the "Milestones a little easier.... for a 300 miler, it could be "100 mi." "Halfway" "200 mi." and "Finish".... I do like the "Mover" & "Backwards" fall.... But tell me which ones you like, which ones you don't and how you'd like to see it work.... I have no problems tracking it.... |

I'd say make it one big event Tim
I think the catergories you had for Indy were great and you should stick to them , depending on distance of course. but it was just about perfect (not quite perfect cause I didnt win) anyone else have any thoughts on this ? |
