Ah of course - but there is an "HSCC" BRSCC date at Combe, usually in August

I think he means that [very] few [people] would argue against Mono being there. Ah the joys of English grandma.

I'm a great fan of Mono - it just isn't quite as good as FF1600.

Still around - still lurking... ah well - was trying the delights of Gentlemens Historic racing in the US this year, (TVR & Morgan), somehow got kicked off 10/10ths so had to re-register. Anyway getting all ready for a full season of Classic Clubmans next year.

won't take this OT (for long), but tried the official route and got no answers for ages then eventually they (the voices..) said I didn't exist so just re-registered with same name, seems to work now so maybe I do exist - or maybe I don't, never really sure.....

Top Hat for us this year, a shame the CTCRC has lost its historics, what cars it did have where generally well prepared and histirically correct, lets hope some of thgem try Top Hat this season, The HRSR will probably pick up a fair few but I think they'll find them selves blown away by the pace as many of them are borderline Classic thunder, good to watch though!

see you at Castle Combe Peter ?

Just a thought on this. The Club hasn't lost its Historics per se. They've lost championship status but the classes are still running. Have a look at the calendar. I'm sure that they'd love to reinstate the championship and they can if hey get enough entries.

I think the presence of so many Lotus Cortinas tended to put people off.

Topwelshman, somebody in the club gave me the impression that Croix was definately a no goer due to trying to keep the price of racing during the year down.

Croix has been removed from the latest issue calendar after a small debate on there forum. There was originally three race meetings in one month (July) for the BMW Kumho's so the Croix race was removed and it looks like the first race of the season at Silverstone was made a double header which helps on costs.

That is interesting, as some well-supported categories were due to race at that meeting.
