Robert did you sort your access pass yet? My friend suggest he could have one in excess but I guess it will be the most complicated solution…

Is general access allowed on Thursday? I've a couple of customers who've asked me to drop in?

According to all instructions received- Only with a set up or full weekend wristband, plus a set up pass for your vehicle if you're wanting to drive in.

If your customers are racing, maybe they will have a wristband for you?

We've tried that but I believe allocations have been a touch 'tight'...no worries and thanks for the advice

Finally! The Gemini has moved under its own power for the first time since Teretonga. Currently 3rd reserve and whilst I wouldn't wish bad luck on any fellow competitors......

Just another one, here's the Masters entry list for the Historic F1 and Historic Sports Cars:

http://www.mastershistoricracing.com...ry%20List.pdf/

Also here's the entry from the HGPCA for the pre-66 GP cars:

If anyone looking for a full time table, check out page 14 on the HGPCA link.

The Masters website mentions a warning about some dimensions of Dunlop's and Avon's tires being not available. I dont know what kind of cars could be impacted.

Be warned...I am currently in the middle of a 4 day event at Silverstone and security is much tighter than previous years. I doubt a race car in the back of the truck will enable you to talk your way in

There was mention in the instructions that due to the increasing levels of theft at race meetings, plus of course recent terrorist activity, security at the Classic will be 'tight'. That's fine by me as long as it doesn't impact us getting in and moving around during the weekend!

May be scrutineering will include a search for some "illegal" parts…*
Cant imagine that! Has boxing been added as a historic discipline since Monza?

What happened at Monza?
There was a punch up in the pit lane a few years ago at the classic between 2 teams.

Monza- a thieving individual was apprehended in a team trailer and probably came to regret choosing that particular one......

All hearsay, of course!

For anyone attending Silverstone, take the weather forecast and basically half the predicted temperature and thats what it will feel like.

Does anyone know at what time one can drive into the circuit after the days racing, I am particularly interested in Friday evening?

Not sure I can be bothered with the next two days, the Classic should be renamed The Silverstone Celebrity, the organisers seem more concerned with second rate soap/sports/musical 'stars' than actual racing drivers/cars.

Any clapped out pop singer from 1960 is sure of a welcome, but one preparer I know, running three cars, can not even get their van into the circuit and have been issued 3 wrist bands.

Daft I call it! The only attraction worth the effort of going is Delta's barbecue.

Disgusted of Luton.

Ami Robert, are you grumpy or is it my understanding? Will you take pictures from the event, particularly the Shakwarhh Challenge?

Gerard it is just the weight of 80 years of frustration with officialdom in it's various guises, however, I will instruct my junior partner to cover any event you are interested in. Frankly I little idea of what the program consists of.

I had a great weekend at Cadwell Park, and will be at the Bentley Drivers Meeting on August 5th. my favourite outing of the year.

The Classic is just to BIG for my simple tastes.

Mr Sourpuss.

Remind me of your ami who is entered.
