Just a note to say thank you to everyone that turned up last night the their Heartstart course. Another enjoyable course and everyones enthusiasm and input made it a good night.
We will be advertising some more dates soon. Just waiting to hear from the hall we can have the dates we have asked for.
T give a definative answer now for this course. As we are running this outside the motorsport arena to give everyone a skill for life and the community, PRC's will not be signed. The new FMOS course( all still to be finalised) will cover the first aid section in the books and all being well will be ready for 2013 training.

Another good course last night. Thank you to everyone who tunred up and also donated.
We have places left on the 5th September 19:00-22:00 in Grays, Essex and we are running 2 courses on Satrurday 1st December 09:30-12:30 and 13:30-16:30 in Grays Essex.
Feedback has been very positive so far and we have also made improvements from feedback received as we evovle with each course.

Hi Folks,
we would like some more people for the 5th September course in Grays, Essex 19:00-22:00.
I realise for some people, you might have to travel and its an argument we cant win as we work and have to make sure we can get home and set up on time hence we run in Essex on Wednesday nights.
We have a Saturday 1st December back to back courses if you cant make the Wednesdays. Their times are : 09:30-12:30 and 13:30-16:30. Everyone that has done these courses have expressed the value they have and extra/refreshed skills and the main thing enjoyed it.
SO lets have some more people book or email us about coming to your club/ venue.

Hi Everyone,
We have a couple of spaces left for a Heartstart course on Saturday 1st December in Grays, Essex( about 5 mins from the M25 A13 exit). If you would like to attend one of these courses then please go onto our website www.heartstart-grays.co.uk and book on using our online booking facility. Once this is done we will send course details.
As promised we have also been developing those who have an interest in taking up instructong and we now have 2 volunteers( both marshals from non training backgrounds) who have completed and passed the instructors course. We have also had some good news as one of our students has carried out CPR on a casualty and as far as they know the casualty survived. The paperwork is being sorted now and when this happens British Heart Foundation as a thank you will send the individual a letter of comendation for their efforts. Not bad going since we only started in July 2012 and one life saved.
We have sent in dates to the hall committee for 2013 and when they have confirmed these we will publish these dates.

Hi Folks,
2013 dates are now on our website and confirmed for the Wednesday night sessions in Grays, Essex. We have done this to offer the oppertunity for everyone to be able to plan and come to the courses.
We are also looking at a social event with a course attached to it in Kent. This will invovle meeting up for lunch on a Saturday and then doing the course after a bit of social and chat time. All details TBC as we are waiting for the dates for Brands Training days so we dont clash with this. We aim to run this idea twice a year in the off season but will see how the first one goes.
I hope everyone can see that we are looking at differing ways to provide access to these courses to try and meet everyones needs and pocket and creat a bit of social activity as well. We will explore all ideas but its all down to costs at the end of the day as we need to keep the scheme funded.

Well Saturday 1st Dec was our last course for 2012. A huge thank you to all those who turned up and also to all those who came to Mallory last week as well and then gave a donation to our scheme.
We also held a raffle and had mince pies as it was the last course to get into the festive spirit.
For the short time we have been formed we have measured what we have done and so far its been a great start with alot of hard work from the team and myself as well as marshalling and doing our day jobs. When we have collated all of the information I will publish our starting stats. We are looking at other ideas for 2013.

From what I have seen on another social media sight some people are wanting this training in other areas like North and South West of th UK. We have no problem coming to your area/ club etc. If you want this to happen chat to your chiefs etc and get some numbers and a venue then contact the scheme through our website and we can arrange dates/ times etc. The reason we ask you to look for venues is we dont know other areas and whats about. So this training can be accesable to all.

All it leaves me to do is to say from myself and the rest of the Heartstart-Grays team is to wish our course attendees and everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe 2013.
