That was some race yesterday on the last lap. Great moves from Regan Smith.

Heard the last lap was pretty wild - better wait for the replay...

Was an awesome race overall. Still, I feel horrible for the little teams that would have scored great finishes if not for wrecks.

Darlington? Gibbs 1 2 3 4 in qualifying and 1 2 3 5 in race? Kyle Busch had the win guaranteed from the start of the green flag.
The series is such a joke right now, and the stands show it. None of the fans for Cup are staying for the Nationwide race because they know either Kyle, Brad, Joey or whatever hack in a Joe Gibbs car is going to win it on tracks more than 1 mile without plates. TV Ratings down as well this year. There was a time when the Nationwide (Busch Series) had Hendrick, Gibbs, DEI with their development drivers in the car and teams like Nemco, Herzog, Pollex's Nestle car, Braun and Rensi could compete with appearances by cup drivers, plenty of standalone races as well. Now, it's Joe Gibbs and Penske, surprise surprise, the two cup teams with two cup drivers running nearly every race. There's about 10-12 other cars that are somewhat on pace but still off Gibbs/Penske, some start and parks and then everybody else is off the place. Not to mention the lack of standalones, Iowa which is great, two road courses and the useless Kentucky and Chicago races. These idiots removed ORP for the borefest that was IMS last year and where are Rockingham, Gresham, Irwindale ect? The schedule makes it so easy for cup drivers to dominate this and it's destroying the series. |

Non-Cup drivers in cars of Cup teams and Cup drivers in cars of independent teams.

Guess there is some bad blood between Cobb & Harmon - seems someone owes the other one some cha-ching perhaps?

That was Logano's 19th career Nationwide win at Dover... Its a good list of driver's in the top 10, just a pity "Cup" drivers keep stealing the race wins!

Harmon stole the equipment from Jo Cobb. No way he can lie out of it.

The weather is supposed to be bad today as well. Heavier Iowa thunderstorms.

Poor Travis Pastrana, he keeps getting involved in several incidents not of his own making. Gotta feel sorry for Max Papis in this particular wreck as well, he had no way of avoiding getting sideslammed by Pastrana. He's lucky he didn't flip (which I think would've been a first for a Nationwide car at Iowa?).
Edit - And now rain is pounding the track. |

Johnny O will be driving the #5 JR Motorsports car this week. It's hard for me to believe but this is Johnny's first time in a stock car. Hope he does well.

Still think it mindless for them to run RA and Sonoma on the same weekend, and LM week to boot. Are they trying to keep as many fir-n-ers out as possible???
Anyone doing the double? I don't think it's possible but didn't Carl do it last year? GO JOHNNY O! His first start? That is a little hard to believe. Guess he's been a little busy, but so has Ron. |

Interesting. The 5 is a car O'Connell could do something with.

I tried to watch the end of that race but the last 15 laps took an hour. Johnny O was up to 7th before the cautions/gwc and finished 12th. Solid showing for his first stock car race. Hope he gets some more rides... hes a good guy.

Disaster of a finish, as always. Why can't they use the short cut under full course yellows?
Great win for the Dinger. Ride the snake! |
