Thanks again for the replies to my original post everyone.
Here is another important Senna painting from my portfolio.
It is entitled "Ayrton Senna - The Honda Years".
It was commissioned by the Honda Motor Co. in 1995 and was printed as a Limited edition of 300. Honda used 200 of them as a tribute to their fallen hero and the prints were framed and given to the worldwide top management throughout Honda for display in conference rooms, boardrooms etc,. As we know, AS had not driven a Honda powered car since '92 but this shows how much the company valued the great man.
I had 100 to sell and they too sold out quickly.
The original (30x20ins) in acrylics is displayed in the European HQ of Honda at Offenbach, Germany together with another 5 of various Honda subjects.
These can be seen on my website together with 'Driven- 20 Race cars of Ayrton Senna', which was painted last year for the Senna Foundation.

Another Senna one I did earlier this year. It is 40x30ins and of the Donington GP in 93.

I can remember and will never forget, aged 13, barging a TV crew out of the way behind the pit garages at Donington in 1983 to get Senna da Silva, Brundle and Davy Jones' autographs after they'd just finished 1-2-3 in a British F3 round.

Getting a Senna signature - even if it was just five seconds next to him - was extra special.

I also had the good fortune of working as a journo at the 91 French GP and standing on the pitwall on the morning of the race. And out of the pit garage, dressed in jeans and shirt, came Senna. Within seconds there must have been a hundred journos and photographers pouring over him.

He really did have an incredible presence.

Andrew, your story is wonderful.

Brilliant painting Andrew, I still remember that race, I was 8 and it was my last GP. FANTASTIC drive from the great man, the stuff of legends.

have you got a site with all your Senna pictures on it at all?

Thanks for the words guys. Paulzinho, no I do not have a seperate site just of the Senna pics - reckon I must have painted about 50 of him over the years but a few are on my website www.andrewkitson.com and I'll continue to post some others from time to time on here.

I work in the memorabillia industry. I would say that one of the signed Senna prints would probably be worth around $8 - 10,000 Australian. To give you some idea, my company sold a used chequered flag from the 1993 Adelaide GP, signed by Senna for just under $20,000 Australian. Any signed Senna product is worth a lot of $$$$.

By the way Andrew, some very nice artworks there!

Actually, I did a bit of fossicking, and I reckon the value of the Senna signed print would probably be closer to $7,000 Australian at the moment, with the value only continuing in a northerly direction.
