RML Saleen lost time because of a broken rocker arm. they just lost more time- reason unknown.

Things seem well established now... I can't see victory escape to one of the Maser... good job of the Larbre Team and boys, and with a little more help, the CLPK Vette could reach the podium... after a good start, AMs seem to have problems with 24 hours races... the car is still young, and the best is still to expect for those ones on long runs... another dispointing week-end for our beloved Saleen, and the Viper is still alive and kicking (not bad !)...

thanks for the support We are glad you like the reports.
Its not dissapointing for the Saleen! (At least for me). I came into this race, expecting it not to last 6 hrs. And look, it was in the top 7 in hour 20! then things went downhill a bit, but they are still 12th, and 9th in GT1. I am very surprised, and proud to see them still running! an S7R has not finished a 24hr race since Spa 2003! (I believe, someone correct me if im wrong) |

I am with you 19dodge - I am nnot expecting the Saleen to win these races - after all its an old car in comparison to the Astons and Maseratis - but it is putting in a very creditable fight - especially when it was holding down 7th place
NB great work on the paddock.net |

well, the Saleen can win races, but not with with Nash/RML car. Trust me, when Konrad comes back at the next round, hopefully with the new homologated aero parts, we should see their cars shine, and maybe even pull off a podium or even better.. We will have to wait and see..

Both Astons are in the pit lane, I guess they have enough laps in hand and the going is really bad out there. The leading Maserati nearly got collected by the spinning Autorlando 67 car just now!!

Many congrats to the Vitaphone Maserati No 9 and its drivers - almost faultless from car and drivers all race.
At least my favourites, the Astons finished and the team have learned a bit more! Nice also to see the 550s and CR5s well up, and what about that old Viper in 13th! Great stuff. |

Well done to Vitaphone Maserati. A flawless run, just a shame the car is shrouded in controversy, it need not have been this way and history will always point towards this, a bit like the Dauer win at Le Mans.
Gruppe M showed the others how its done in GT2, this team could and should compete at the next level either GT1 or LMP. |

A great win for the MC12 on its debut 24hr race. Nice to see the GPLK C5R doing well too. Shame about the Aston Martin's running into problems but IMO the best car and team won in the end.
