Ok , here we go . As reported in Autosport magazine today . There is a good chance of Veloqx running an Audi R8 (or two in conjunction with Audi Sport UK)in both the LMES and the LeMans 24 hours next year .
Who would ever have thought that !!! This could shape up to be a great battle next year for private Audi teams . |

Joest = 1 car Veloqx/Audi UK = 1 0r 2 cars Possible Spanish = 1 car Possible Canadian = 1 car Audi Sport Japan = 1 car Team Taisan = 1 car Oh boy throw in a Panoz or two and a couple of Dome's and a few Courage's and hopefully a Oreca Dallara or two and what have we got ? |

I think the estimate of R8s is a little over the top but don't forget Courages, a Dome or two and MG-Lolas

Well, I'll (grudgingly) admit that if the influx of (semi)privateer R8s makes sure we have a respectable LMP grid at Le Mans in 04, I'll be reasonably happy......

If its a case of fully supporting the LMP cause, I've got to support the Audi, I guess. (As the chances of seeing a full field of rooved GTPs at Le Mans in the near future seems somewhat remote.....
)

I thought the Audi UK car had (!) a good chance of winning last year. This surely pushes them to the status of one of the pre-race favorites IMO.
