Lego Racers are back, and this time vow to take it up a notch. "2008 was a rollercoaster year", Darthfalcon said at the team launch, "we almost had the championship before we let it slip in the final round, this year we'll do no such thing..." Four Lego Racing machines will line up on the streets of Adelaide for the first round of what will be an exciting year of racing; # 747 Alex Davison # 748 Jason Bright # 749 Marcus Marshall # 750 Jack Perkins |

I have no clue who's good and who's not in this series, but I just filled out a couple NCAA brackets to try to win some money so I feel like picking for something else completely random. But I'd just like to note that anyone that loses to me should be ashamed of themselves. So consider me the "Mendoza Line" for this fantasy series. For those of you not familiar with that term or what it means, don't worry about it.

Woohoooooooo..... 5th and 6th in their first outing the Team Sheepshagger drivers pile on the points in the first race of the season.
As the spokesman for major team sponsor Redneck Lager, was overheard saying "For a first time that was more exciting than banging your cousin". |

Well stealth bomber, how did we go? Race two was a bummer before the first lap was complete. Rusty buggered a braking point as did Jas.
we sure know how to pick them. |

After just one race meeting Brendon Engineering Motorsport and Alex Davison have split. "Alex is a great bloke but the fit wasn't right". said Team Owner/Manager Brendon. "Me and Alex sat down on Sunday night and had a chat we both agreed shook hands and that was it". Brendon continued.
Alex Davison's replacement is Jason Richards who was picked up by the team after a stellar Clipsal performance, Richards was 4th & 7th in the 2 races. "Jase is a great bloke and very fast, we hope he can keep his Clipsal form for 13 more rounds." "he will bring leadership and experience along with the speed". Brendon commented on the signing of Richards. Richards will take over the Commodore campaigned by Davfison at the Clipsal 500 bringing his familiar #8 to the team. The rest of the BEM driver line-up remains the same despite a poor performance by the team. "We weren't happy with our Clipsal performance Jack showed pace at various times over the weekend to show he has it in him, he was abit unfortunate not to have a better run in the races". i was happy with David's performance and it was a shame he came together with Bargs as he was on for another top 15", said Brendon of his 2 rookies. "Fab was simply Fab pardon the pun he continued where he left off last year and he held it together for the team". Brendon Engineering Motorsport have another hitout this weekend at the Australian Gran Prix non-championship event where Jason Richards will make his debut for the team. BEM are hoping to get their season back on track at the event. "There may be no points but we are taking it serious, a win is a win". commented Brendon on the teams AGP chances. The team have now used 1 of their 2 allocated driver changes. New Driver line-up: #8 - Jason Richards - $800,000 - VE Commodore #111 - Fabian Coulthard - $800,000 - VE Commodore #24 - David Reynolds - $200,000 - VE Commodore #11 - Jack Perkins - $200,000 - VE Commodore |

DRIVER CHANGE FOR S.A.M.S.
Due to the events of the Clipsal 500, S.A.M.S. parent company, SJA Enterprises has had to consider a drastic shake-up of their effort to tackle the cut throat world that is V8 Supercars.
FIRST - A shake-up of sponsors. Taking a more NASCAR style approach to sponsorship has seen the three existing cars re-sponsored and re-numbered, as well as the fielding of a fourth entry for the remainder of the year. SECOND - A shake-up of drivers. S.A.M.S. regrets the letting go of Michael Caruso, but it was a neccessary loss to allow for the expansion. As for the loss of Alex Davison and Jason Bright, time will tell whether or not S.A.M.S. has made the right decision, but based on Clipsal timesheets and form, S.A.M.S. fails to see the potential for improvement in either driver in 2009, hence have been force to let them go. So, S.A.M.S. is proud to announce the driver of their new #46 City Chevrolet VE Commodore is Tim Slade; proud to announce the driver of their new #47 Superflo VE Commodore is Lee Holdsworth; proud to announce the driver of their new #51 Exxon VE Commodore is David Reynolds and the driver of their new #52 Mello Yello VE Commodore is Paul Dumbrell. Summary of Change: TEAM: S.A.M.S. SPONSORS: City Chevrolet, Superflo, Exxon, Mello Yello DRIVERS: #46 Tim Slade #47 Lee Holdsworth #51 David Reynolds #52 Paul Dumbrell MANUFACTURER: HOLDEN |

Happy Dragon TeamMVMotorsport takes unprecedented action
Happy Dragon TeamMVMotorsport has today taken unprecedented action, sacking a driver mid season. This has not occurred in all the time the team has existed.
Gone is Greg Murphy, his repeated mediocre performances (albeit involving some bad luck - most of his own doing) and he will be replaced by Fabian Coulthard. Rick Kelly will survive at this stage. |

Armageddon Motorsport announce wholesale Driver changes in an effort to stop it's slide down the Championship ladder.
We thought that Russell Ingall might have maintained his form from last season going into the new season but unfortunately this has not been the case! We have been keeping a close eye on the field and have been impressed with Lee Holdsworth's performances thus far and are delighted to welcome him into the fold for the remainder of the season. In an effort to consolidate out efforts we are scaling back to a two car operations, this should not be seen as a negative for young David Reynolds, he has been forging on but we feel we as a team took on too much this season with the step up to three cars. The team took a gamble on Jason Bright again this season and thought with new equipment under him he might fire and regain some of his past form, so far there has been nothing and to this extent we also announce his departure from the team. Whilst looking at the field we have noticed Steven Johnson has been performing better than expected and as a group believe he is the perfect fit to compliment Lee. Going into the next races at Winton we hold High hopes for our new drivers. #666 Lee Holdsworth. #999 Steven Johnson. |

Due to lack of results, Michael Patrizi, Cam McConville and Tony D'Alberto are gone. Fabian Coulthard and Paul Dumbrell replace the three sacked drivers. We are producing a fresh livery for Tasmania which we'll reveal soon.
