Goes better too. 1600 twin cam, rear wheel drive. A big favourite with rally schools - though I guess there ain't many left now...

I know! I know!
It's the 1951 Lincoln Futura concept car. But what it became in later life... I shan't spoil it - not after only 35 minutes! |

Tim's correctly guessed the original name for this car, but I bet everyone here recognises it. Just imagine this very car with a few body mods and a coat of paint...
Then tell us what you see! |

Would that be the original Batmobile ?
Never realised it was originally one of those! |

Hey! I forgot about this thread!
Yes Chris, the Batmobile, built by master customiser George Barris in 1965. Barris went on to build the Flintmobile (out of a golf cart!), 'KITT' for the TV series Knight Rider, the Munster Coach and the star from the film 'The Car' among many others. Incidentally, the 1955 Lincoln Futura 'Dream Car' featured in a film before it became the Batmobile. It was the automotive star of a film called 'It started With a Kiss' with future Senator and Astronaut Glenn Ford. Isn't the Internet wonderful! |

Another Barris creation, of course, was the Monkeemobile.
Out of an original Pontiac GTO, I think - though I could be wrong. |

Yeah man! The Monkeemobile! '67 GTO I seem to remember.
Weren't Barris Customs also responsible for the remotely driven (from under the back seat!) Ford Explorers from Steven Spielbergs' Jurassic Park? Great I dea for a thread. Anyone got any more? |
