On the subject of Le Mans I thought I'd share this pic with you, Jag XJR10 at the Autosport show from earlier in the year, the right of the image is not cropped, I took it like that, the left of the image is cropped because a rally car of some sort was in the back ground! I was quite pleased with how the pic came out.

I just like the symmetry of this photo...I do have images of the lap 1 bish bash (one's been used in the dsc report of the race) but that would seem a little cliched wouldnt it

My mum died the day I arrived in France for Le Mans and Montlhery so I had to come straight back...didn't have the heart or desire to try and make it back over .

The weather at OP was pretty horrid on Saturday. I'm pleased Canon make cameras and lenses with a fair degree of weatherproofing.
This was not long after your shot was taken Paul.

Love the shot of the paragon porsche Paul, is it Jones or Sumpter/Jordan? The dark clouds realy add to the atmosphere, must look great full size.

The car in Paul's fantastic image is the Sumpter/Jordan car, and what a great image it is!
It was indeed very wet on the saturday, I got there when it just started chucking it down and snapped a few cars before putting my camera away, nothing special but I did get this shot after the rain had stopped which I quite like of the Embassy Corvette. |

Thankfully though it brightened up for Sundays event and my favourite car even got out onto the track after the Saturday weather caught it out!

Thanks...not wanting to sound harsh but life goes on (though shes constantly in my mind at the moment)
Anyway...enough moroseness After my embarassment of riches from the Oulton GT's on Saturday I had a rotten day at Brands on Sunday (thumping headache didnt help) but here's a nice clear pic (again the hi-res is spot on) of Dr Jonathan Palmer during his demo laps of that wonderful Porsche 956...yummmy |
