Saw a brilliant sarcastic joke on Facebook that roughly read:

I don't recall the last time Mr Winterbottom's contract details were discussed.

Feel like the headlines should read: PRA secures title not even Winterbottom could lose...

Felt a bit like that the last few rounds.

Still, Ford and Pepsi gone for the team holding number 1 plate. Not good.

What was the Saturday crowd like in numbers? From what I could see, it didn't look great, but that could be be a bit deceiving from the TV pics. Be interesting to see what they get today in attendance figures, now that the championship has been decided, although I guess that people will have already decided if they are going or not.
Agree with what was said in commentary yesterday, hopefully the teams will throw the shackles off and go for it today, with basically nothing to lose. Manufacturers champs and 2nd & 3rd are never remembered or cared much about, except by the people who won them. I only caught the last race yesterday and it was fairly boring, although having said that Frosty did what he had to do. Congrats to him.

So, what is the likleyhood of PRA, snaring the the three cups,
1 down to Frosty
Dev Series ?
Team Championship ?

will Misters Owen and Waters be on top of their respective games to give the manufacturer leaving all three Cups ?

should be a good days racing in Sydeney

Apparently the category has never been stronger too?

Coincides with the end of the first year of a new media deal.

The new deal was always going to reduce viewers and therefore sponsorship dollars.

But that argument can wait for the off season

Well done Frosty and PRA. And to Tim Edwards too.

I guess the problem is it seems even though the money "saved" the category the income doesn't seem to go near covering the category's reduced ability to bring in sponsors.

I guess at some point soon the next payment is due, maybe at some point there's enough money from Foxtel to allow lower cost, or more innovative sponsorships, bringing more to the sport?

I was there, it wasn't a 'ghost town' but you always had space around you, no lineups to go anywhere (except to get into the Coopers bar at the Turn 2 chicane), very easy to get a spot on the fence to watch the action, easy enough to find some shade for lunch etc..... a pleasant crowd but i'll laugh if i see claims of a 'bumper' crowd.

There were more spots to see the track than the last time i went in 2013 (particularly around the train station) but that was because there is alot less facilities and sideshows there this year'. The merchandise area for example seemed to be less than half the size it was back in 2013....

The highlight of my day was meeting Will Hagon on the train ride out of there though, so i'm glad I went !

At least a few incidents where a car on a hot lap had his lap ruined by a car doing minimal speed on the racing line. Can sometimes be difficult to get out of the way at this track, but they need to do something about it.

This article says Frosty is 'estranged' from his Dad a former Australian Sprintcar champion.

Frosty saying that a few people have been talking some crap and that he's going to get amongst it. Last race and Championship over could have this being a belter with lots of carnage.

Given the increase in coverage hours it makes sense, wonder if they are also including all the supports in that figure too.
