top GTE cars are doing 3:55s at the moment which was the GT1 target lap time by the ACO in 2005 with Carbon brakes, more power, more aero.

1 of the main reason I love this sport. Modern era LMP's (before the ACO's 100hp reduction mandate) with just over half of the power of those, 20 years ago, can pull similar top speeds. Long live technology.
