peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I'm struggling to recollect fully but Triple 8 have had one off livery changes a few times, whats there result ratio.

In 2006 at PI it was bad (lnowndes livery)

there was a special darwin aboriginal livery, i think that was also a bad result

any others

I know it is for a good cause, but is there also another reason for the pink. The Hogstar is pink, good be just the whining pom having another shot at Ford

Neither. It's just another change of Premier. It happens quite a bit up here, depending on how Joe and Eddie feel. No big deal, and Homebush is still on.

Its hardly a good thing.

Especially considering that many inside the Labor party opposed the event but thanks to Rees, Macdonald and Roozendaal it got pushed through. Now 2 of those 3 are gone.............

Look forward to what comes out post event

Is there any video on the V8 Supercar/Bigpond website on Friday, or just live timing?

Is there a way of finding out in advance somewhere?

I can imagine the conversation between Mr Hitchcock and Mr Phelps this morning....
You think *he* still has his media accreditation this weekend after this pile of warm excrement?

What is wrong with these people?????

Looks to me like Mr Mezera and the artificial entertainment vehicle will be busy this weekend.

Any tips for a few red flagged sessions???

Will be interesting to hear the responses from the crowd about the viewing from the circuit, especially the GA's.

Had a walk around the circuit this morning and it wasn't ideal

Neither is clipsal. 9 Years i always has gold grandstand seats. This year went with a mate who only wanted GA, and never again. That place is shocking if your a GA (as i'm sure all street circuits would be)

With a tiny fraction of the overall attendance expected to come from Grandstands this must be a concern. Especially when considering how hard V8SA bagged other permanent circuits for their viewing restrictions.

Street tracks are definitely more restricted but you get closer to the cars. A lot will depend on where grandstands etc are located that restrict GA access - if you can get to good bits (braking approach for corners for example) it'd be good to see the guys doing their thing much closer than fans would normally be.

There were a few "mini grandstands" in evidence when I was out there the other day - if they are there for GA use and in the right areas that will open out sight lines.

No question that grandstands or corporate areas provide better overall viewing though.

Murphy has done a 1:32.7 so far. I guess they might get down to low 1:20s?
