Lets get these cars to Ring Djursland before they go away.

Kinda funny that a series billed as the "Scandinavian" TCC races only in Sweden.

Before 2010 it was Swedish TCC.

In 2010 they changed the name into Scandinavian TCC and for 3 years they had a race in Denmark.

So they should go to Finland, Norway, and Denmark as well still!

7-8 round calendars always just seem so short to me.

9 cars for Mantorp?

Emma Kimiläinen will miss Mantorp races after Skövde crash.

Another potential airfield event in the works as well:

New STCC circuit planned for Gothenburg.

I wonder which model they'll be represented by.

Looks like the Pulsar front end?

Agreed, looks like the Pulsar lights and grille. May not be referred to as Pulsar specifically. Guess we'll see tomorrow at Mantorp.

Those look more like Quashqai / X-Trail headlights to me. Though I guess they just pick whatever suits them

The Pulsar would make the most sense as a future TCR car though!

This is because it's not finished yet. The rear and side are straight up Kia Optimus for now. I assume this means the chassis was purchased or loaned from Brovallen.

Watch tonight's races, here. Race 1 has already happened. http://www.svtplay.se/video/7982061/...-30?start=auto

Race 1 this evening was dull, but a great last lap move there. Now it's raining heavily so Race 2 should be more lively. Rain + Darkness.

Very odd still to hold a race event on a Thursday evening however, hardly any crowd in comparison to other STCC rounds, I guess most people have work on a Friday!

No name yet, I believe, just 'Nissan', in the same way the Dacia is just 'Dacia'.

Looks quite the hack-job indeed, seems they just smashed some new headlights and a grille in the old Kia?

Nope. No holiday. I think the weather played a big role though, looked like there wasnt more then like 100 people in the stands. I was at the evening race last year, and then it was better weather and more people, still not a lot of people, but a couple of thousand maybe.

The Carrera Cup race was great to watch however, that has been the place to watch real good racing for the last couple of years.

So I'm watching the highlights from Mantorp and it's sad, just sad, that we still can't get a proper TV-production for STCC and its support races. Really bad editing and silly commentators that overreact like there's no tomorrow. Oh and as usual no coverage whatsoever from race 1 of the support classes.

Pathetic, simply woefully pathetic.

Agreed.. Empty stands and nine cars on track doesn't really add to the experience either.

And incredibly it's still way better than it used to be! Go watch the Mantorp races from 2011. The production values are incredible. These days you can at least sort of tell what's going on. And the commentators are bad, but at least they are not as offensively embarrasin as they were when Kruse first joined up. Still mostly embarrasing, but not as often.

Aside from nothing at all happening in race 1 I found the day fairly satisfying. I bet I would have been real bummed out if I went, though. That place looked really cold, wet and mostly empty. But I am still entertained, which is kind of fascinating.

Have to agree, they are doing a slightly better job nowdays then a few years ago, when it sometimes was so embarrassing to listen to so you just wanted to turn it off. Best year of commentators was easily the year (could it have been 2009?) when we got the trackside commentators on the TV feed. I can never remember that guys name, but he's a real pro. Its one good reason to go to the track though
