Shoot me if this is old news but Mygale have confirmed 2 cars for Brit F3 run by Ultimate - their press release is only 2 days old so assume it is a definate now at least.

No mention of drivers or engines though

Shooting's a bit extreme , but it is fairly old news. The team is called Ultimate Motorsport, they're using Mercedes engines and one of the drivers is supposed to be the Argentine, Esteban Guerrieri. The official press launch is not until February 28, but they will be testing next week, so any spies down in Wales could find out more.

Oh well - worth a stab (to go with the shooting).

Release on their own site is 8th Feb so I suppose it is just confirming the obvious, but confirmed nonetheless

Only for Mygale - its not much but its pretty much only the third news item they've ever uploaded so it must be a little important.

I suspect that John Martin will be a reasonably competitive proposition, in my view he did look good in his British Formula Ford outings. Whilst I wouldn't want to speculate on Castellacci's potential, I feel it may take a bit of time for him to get fully up to speed.

Apparently there cars arent to great to drive, need a hefty set-up re think on them.

Kennard was no-where with them last year, then he breaks the Pembrey record first time out for double R.

Why do I have the impression that you're an ADR fan?

I think John Martin will be pretty good (it's all that practice he's had!), but the Italian guy might struggle. He would probably have been smarter to do the National Class.

Re Kennard, it's not unknown for teams to run cars below the legal weight in testing to impress a new drive &/or sponsors. It's very unlikely that Kennard who has't impressed in either of his two seasons (one in national class) has suddenly improved so much to be a potential race winner. Most people would be very surprised if Kennard is the quickest of the RR cars next season.

Actually, you're completely wrong about me hating everything you say, but if you're going to take it the wrong way, I'll stop. Okay? The fact is we all have favourite drivers and teams, so there's nothing wrong with your being an ADR fan.

To be honest I wouldnt be surprised if the Dallara isn't far off 550kg with Kennard in the car, he's not the smallest of guys, therefore the car wouldn't have been that light.

R.E Robbie Kerr... That was many seasons ago now.

I remember one of their drivers from a couple of seasons ago saying the car understeered badly, and they couldnt cure it. Just spent the season chasing their arses.

But who knows, maybe things have changed over winter....

Autosport were reporting that Walter Grubmuller will be racing for the team.

Continuing the the theme of relaying what has been in the comics, MN were speculating that Sergio Perez would be in the T Sport National Class entry.

If Grubmuller is in at Hitech he is certainly getting around - he has competed in Asian F3 and Oz F3 in recent weeks.

I think he has a deal with a team in Asian F3, although there are only four rounds to the championship this year so maybe it is feasible for him to do both. Racks up the air miles I suppose!

I don't think you're going to see Team Loctite in F3 this year, which leaves Oliver Turvey looking for a drive. Mygale maybe, if they're offering subsidies?

I'd guess that Alex Waters is more likely to stay with Promatecme in the National Class.

Double R's pair in the National Class are confirmed and I agree with kipper's comments in the previous post. I don't think Hitech will run more than two cars, including Grubmuller, but I still think Fortec should come up with another driver as well as the Mansells.

I thought Turvey may be heading to Euroseries with Merc backing since Brits have done so well with them in recent years and he won the Autosport BRDC young drivers award.

Then again, maybe BMW have tabs on him as well.
