That's with the new Gibson engine? Sound quite good to me.

Already rumblings about slowing down LMP2 because of concerns over Bronze drivers' ability to handle them. I did wonder about that...
I guess they will be slower in IMSA because of the tyre situation, as we see currently. http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/2...-under-debate/ |

Shouldn't be an issue in the first place, if you're not good enough for the car, craft your skills in a P3 before start playing with the 'big boys'.
Not an issue in IMSA anyway as they allow all Pro crews and don't intend on having an Am category with the new cars. |

I think that is a slanted article. Maybe the question was put to them about the cars being too fast. The article has quotes saying basically the opposite of slowing them.

Well, I know none of us really like the chassis and engine limits on the new LMP2 rules, but nobody can deny it's working.
DAMS would fit very well with the Alpine brand too. Might worry Signatech. |

Anyway (via RCE), Adrian Campos has also admitted to keeping an eye on the WEC - LMP2 wasn't specifically mentioned, but I'd be confident that he wasn't talking about GTE-Am. However, he added that Campos would only enter with a willing partner, presumably as his priority would still be the GP2/3 teams. |

There are several good views of the new Dallara in this Team Nederland video.
Seems like a few teams have gone for the Dallara. sportscar365.com/lemans/elms/racing-team-nederland-launches-with-dallara-lmp2-campaign |

Racing Team Nederland with Dallara LMP2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_usoy3WwKVc Nice looking car. Driven by Jan Lammers, Rubens Barrichello and Frits van Eerd. The last one is the sponsor of the team. He has mainly experience in formula BOSS series. Last edited by FIRE; 16 Nov 2016 at 18:03. |

It's the first confirmed Dallara worldwide, isn't it?

Villorba Corse announced back in Oct. that they would be going with the Dallara P2 for '17 ELMS.

Ah, that's right, thx. Brings the number of 'confirmed' Dallaras to 4 then. More to come soon I'm sure.

350km/h unlikely, but 2010 petrol lmp1 like lola aston or rebellion judd powered lolas were 900kg heavy and had 600hp as well and at le mans were easily able to reach >330km/h.
In low downforce package, new lmp2 will get 320km/h for sure. Maybe at daytona already. |

New LMP2s have significantly less frontal area than those cars. Rebellions consistently did 340kph and its debatable whether they have as much power to start with plus they lift and coast.
