There's nothing sad about it. The more races Bestfit misses, the more chance we have of catching him in the points race.

The effects are aparently very prolonged. Kallio is still suffering it in 250cc.

Oh, la, la! La France! Fine kamizaze riders, fine wine, fine women.

Basically this has been a passing round, almost everybody getting the same points. Three exceptions: bestfit was 13 mins late, Dani was not even awake after another "drunk mod" party and marcus (who this time didn't attend the party) didn't pass the opportunity to lose one point.

The scheme was: another one winner in 125cc, the old known winner in 250cc and rainy day in MotoGP. In short, two unlikely races and one safe race.

About the Cup classifications, bestfit has lost a lot of positions in 250cc (from 1st to 7th!) but it is too close to choose anyone; and he continues leading in Total, but has lost a sizeable ground. Dani has suffered the same amount of loss, and now he is navigating in a middle zone.

In other order of things, ralf and Hazza are pronounced dead after three consecutive DNSs

. Their reasons are very different: ralf doesn't understand how a vehicle can race lacking two wheels and Hazza is too shocked seeing "his" riders don't win races

An interesting (or useless) fact you may want to consider before Mugello. Loris Capirossi was the last rider to win from pole position in Moto GP (Japan 2006). That's a gap of seven races. The record for most consecutive races without a rider winning from pole is eight (1988 & 2000).

Borgo San Lorenzo, the closest big town to Mugello, is expecting rain Saturday and Sunday... Another chaotic, dangerous and tip-toeing race then. Even so, there may be periods where the rain eases or even stops. I would prefer a dry race - I want to see Stoner and Rossi duke it out to the finish at full bore.

Motogp = Melandri

250 = West

125 = guff knows. Although, if it's raining it'll have to be Piscini...I mean, Pasini. Bad Italian joke. Haha. Not.

Australia could have take another double after the Bayliss-West antics in WSBK. It wouldn't be much of a surprise to see Stoner/Vermeulen-West victories if it's wet.
