The front looks like "The return of the Lister Storm".

Basing things off very blurry images is never gonna end well.

The still in Simmi's post is the clearest found from the video (and the one that Mike used on his FB page to look at), and it looks much more blunt and Lister-ish than the 2012 or '13 LM TS030.

Maybe is just product of a digital distortion but the front looks like a Lister with a looooong nose.
Le cockpit loooks a bit weird too, soooooooo loooooong, but as I said it may be just a digital distortion consequence On the rear also looks really original Last edited by pablocomics; 3 Mar 2014 at 22:36. |

It looks like the TS040 exhibits an elongated cockpit shape similar to that of the new Audi R18.

Remember, these are pictures from a video of the roll out car back in early January. I suspect they have changed a bit. But what interests me is the low nose and the rear wing mounts being separated from the rear fender edges.

oh god! guess Toyota listened to Zero requests from the fans to make the car look least pretty headlights wise. Looks like an Evolution of that 2013 abomination

And yes. Top priority : efficiency, given computers calculations. Second : harmonious curves and shape.

I agree with earlier comments that it is hard to judge too much detail from blurry testing shots, but I'm glad to see they are keeping the narrow nose. At least it will look a bit different from the front compared to its rivals.

Nico Lapierre said the car will look 'beautiful' in an interview on the wec site. Its in french though so Im not sure on the exact words. Besides, the pictures are from the roll out car. Maybe the light cluster will change.

Well the one in video seem to be high speed version for LeMans. We might see alot of diferentes to on normal WEC tracks, especially front and rear wing.

I don't think we will see much variations track by track because the new regulations gave the teams the chance to build a adjustable wing on the front if I'm not mistaking.

Yeah! the car seems a little higher in the front beak, as also the front fenders (a little higher)... meaning perhaps push more air under the car... yet the front wing is not possible to tell if it has the same (positive) angle of attack of Audi and Porsche.
[Also the top ram-air intake to engine seems a little bigger... no wonder!.. no restrictors and everybody is about to optimize this aspect, not invalidating the engine can be less displacement] Last edited by hcl123; 9 Mar 2014 at 22:15. |

The side vertical end plates of the rear wind are also clearly much smaller and not tall like Audi and the TS030... perhaps they didn't like to be confused viewed from the rear lol

And that is one aspect i don't understand... that *big* dorsal fin, to function like an anti-spin lateral aero-brake... its ugly ugly like its mother!.. and for the effect the side vertical rear wing end plates could play even a better role ( more distance from the center)... make them double as big, and we could have dorsal fins less than half as big.

It is not anti-spin. It is anti-lift/anti-take-off-and-fly-away, when the car already spun and is moving at high speed sideways. It clearly does not hurt yaw stability to have one, but that is not what it is imposed.
